Biscuit (now Bentley) with his new mommy! We are so excited for them to start this new chapter in their lives. Congratulations to both Bentley and his fur-ever mom!

Biscuit is a 2-year old little cutie who is ready to find his forever home. Supposedly, Biscuit spent most of his life in a crate before coming into foster care which caused him to become overweight and to have very soft paw pads that have taken a while to toughen up enough for regular walks. The stress of being in a crate also caused him to have bald spots on his sides.

When he came into rescue, he was terrified of stairs but is now a master of running up and down both carpeted and hardwood stairs. He was also reportedly housebroken but refused to eliminate outdoors.

Biscuit doesn’t play much with toys, but he absolutely loves wrestling with his foster brother and sibling. However, sometimes when playing with the resident dogs, he can get a little excited and nip at those near him, thinking they are the same as his playmates. He has never left a mark from the nips and doesn’t even seem to realize that he does it.

Biscuit does not have a high energy level except when playing with his foster siblings. He’s perfectly content to cuddle with his foster mom on the couch or in bed at night. There is little evidence that he came from a background where he needed long walks to burn off energy. In fact, when he first came into foster care, he could barely make it around the block. He is now happy making the rounds of the neighborhood.

He is only partially housebroken. At this point in time, he is just learning to be a dog. He has recently started sniffing around on his walks just as his foster doggie siblings do. Unfortunately, the potty training is going very, very slowly. Biscuit will need a forever person who is experienced with house training an adult dog and who has a great deal of patience.

Biscuit would love a home with lots of people and other animals. He is very social and very people oriented. He does not require a yard; he is happy to go on walks around town where he can meet lots of new people. He does not need a stay at home person but wouldn’t mind one either. He also wouldn’t mind someone to come home mid-day to play with him and let him out for a potty break. Biscuit is both crate and leash trained.

Biscuit is such a sweet, cuddly boy who always has a smile on his face. He is the first to make friends with everyone he meets. He is a wonderful little guy that makes everyone fall instantly in love with him. He loves other dogs and cats but is especially fond of people!

This sweetheart has a lot of love to give but will need a patient person who will continue to work on his house training. If you have a lot of patience and know your way around housetraining an adult dog, then please consider applying for Biscuit. You won’t regret giving this precious boy a chance. In return, he will give you lots of Frenchie hugs and kisses!!!
