Boris in Arizona

Boris is not yet ready for adoption. We are still addressing his medical needs, and he will need to be neutered. An email notification will be sent when he becomes ready for adoption. Adoption fees are set at the time a dog goes available and applications can only be submitted at that time. Please follow our website and social media pages for updates on Boris!

Please say a big hello to FBV’s newest foster, Boris. Boris is just a puppy…born on 04/03/2019. He was surrendered due to a broken elbow. He was rolled by two large dogs in his new family’s home which is what caused the break. He was returned to the breeder due to the family not being able to afford the surgery to repair it. The breeder was also unable to have the costly surgery performed and reached out to us. One of our fabulous foster homes picked Boris up this past Wednesday and had him admitted for surgery Thursday evening.

The break was over a week old which made the surgery a bit more complex. He now has two screws and a pin that will stay for life provided there are no complications. He will be on strict crate rest for 8 weeks which is not going to be easy for a puppy. He also was diagnosed with giardia on top of everything else…poor little guy.

He is such a sweet boy and is going to make someone a wonderful companion once he has healed and his neutered. Please follow along for updates on Boris!

We greatly appreciate any and all donations….$3000 will help us provide Boris with some basic essentials, such as a harness and leash, as well as help cover some of the cost of his elbow surgery.
