Adoption Stories for 2013

Alumnus Otto (formerly Captain)

June 12th, 2017|

Hi Villagers.  This is the story of Otto.  Otto’s original name was Captain.  He is another dog that was adopted in 2013.  Marie has sent us so much information about him.

Otto is the love of her life and was lying on top of her in bed when she sent our FBV alumni coordinator this information.

“For 20 years my husband and I have had pit bull terriers and for the last 12 years we had […]

Palin, now Duchess, in her forever home!

June 12th, 2017|

Well, after a short break, the FRENCH BULLDOG VILLAGE Alumni are back.

Our Palin was adopted way back in 2013.  Recently, our alumni coordinator contacted her loving family.  This is what Cindy had to say:

“Palin, who was renamed Duchess, is doing extremely well.  She has completely dominated the house, convincing us to break our rule of no dogs sleeping with us in the bed and becoming extremely playful at meal times to gently encourage us to […]

Rylee, now Ruby, 4 years later

December 20th, 2016|

Here is what Ruby’s forever mom had to say about this precious gal when we requested an update!

Ruby (aka Rylee) has been doing great in our home for the last 4 years. She will be 5 in January and is very healthy. She is spoiled and loves snuggle time with her humans and her fur brother Pete! She also loves treats and playing outside when weather is good for a frenchie! She’s a silly […]

On December 9, 2013 our Tinker in Pennsylvania was adopted by Bryan and Megan McGee.  Tinker’s name was changed to Beanie.  At the time, this four year old Brindle and white Frenchton, moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a wonderful couple.  Beanie also acquired a Boston Terrier sister named Dottie.

Bryan sent us the following update on Beanie:

About three months after she was adopted, Beanie needed to have surgery for a herniated disc.  The surgery was […]

Itsy Bitsy Home At Last

December 16th, 2013|

Itsy Bitsy has been adopted!

This Frenchton had a ton of applications, but one family really stuck out. They are experienced Boston owners, and are active, yet retired. After losing two of their elderly dogs in less than two years, they and their sweet Boston were too empty to move forward. After careful screening and home visit, she went home yesterday afternoon, and Daddy hasn’t put her down since.

Who could blame him?

Tinker’s New Home

December 10th, 2013|

After the east coast snow, Tinker’s forever mom came to pick her up and take her to her home, where her forever dad and her new sister  Dottie (Boston Terrier) were waiting for her .  She is a special dog that is just perfect and her foster mom and the Village are happy that we got to be a part of her life.  We love you, Tinker!  Congratulations on your forever home.

What A Lucky Boy

November 17th, 2013|

Brando (formerly Buddy) went home last Tuesday, the 11th.  He is moving to California.  He has a new fur sibling that wasn’t quite sure about this “new brother” situation upon their initial meeting.  But somewhere on the trip home from Colorado to California, he decided things were going to be ok after all!   Brando has a stay at home mom and will be traveling with mom and brother in the motor home.  What […]

Sherman’s Forever

October 21st, 2013|

Sherman was adopted this weekend.  Here is his beautiful adoption story from his foster mom:

Sherman went home yesterday, and here is what his forever looks like:
A Mommy and Daddy
And lots of love.

Before you see the photos, I should let you know that his parents are two very dear people, ready for any hurdles that may arise.

While we completed paperwork, I saw Shermie stare at Jellie. Then he walked over and kissed her face. He […]

Dolly Is Where She Belongs

September 9th, 2013|

Dolly has been adopted by her foster dad.  Here is what he has to say about this happy ending:

“I have a pretty big ego at times, but this is one time I am happy to say, “I failed”. I failed as a foster to Dolly because I am adopting her and going to be her new dad. I had been fostering her since before the end of the year and we have had some […]
