Our Foster Dogs

French Bulldogs In Foster Care

June 20th, 2017|

Sophie is just a pup and a cute one at that. She was born on December 29, 2016. She is in good health, but has not yet been fixed. She is only partially housebroken.  She is very good when it comes to grooming; she allows her foster mom to do whatever needs to be done without giving her any trouble.

Sophie is a super sweet girl! Per her foster mom, she is the sweetest little […]

Charm in Arkansas (one of the GA gang)

April 12th, 2017|

UPDATE 6/18/2017:

Charm is doing very well in her foster home. Charm’s foster mom changed her to Royal Canin dog food which seems to be helping her bowels. While she still has runny poos, she has put on some weight. You can’t see her hip bones anymore!  She also has been making it outside better to go potty.

She is still a little afraid of doors. She will stand in the doorway and if you call […]

Oscar in Michigan

April 11th, 2017|

Meet Oscar, he’s a smaller boy at 21-22 pounds but what he lacks in size, he makes up for in personality. In some ways this is great in other ways not so much. So he’s with one our very experienced fosters getting a tune up!
Oscar was born on October 25, 2014 which makes him a younger Frenchie. He was surrendered to our rescue due to behavioral issues. He was showing possessive behavior in his […]

Butch in Florida (part of the GA gang)

March 30th, 2017|

UPDATE 6/19/2017:

Butch is incontinent and will need to wear a diaper when he is out of his crate. He will go potty without meaning to do so and leave a mess in the house if he is not wearing a diaper.

Butch stands very still for bath time and tolerates it without making a fuss. His foster family took him to a dog beach and they walked around in the sand and got their toes […]

Lover Boy in Florida (another member of the GA gang)

March 30th, 2017|

UPDATE 06/20/2017:

Lover Boy is doing very well in his foster home. He has been suffering with skin issues from allergies and bathing him seems to dry out his skin. His foster home is attempting to manage his skin issues with diet. His foster family is also trying to see if he may have an allergy to wood mulch.

He attended an impromptu get together at a neighbor’s house. He had been looking longingly at their […]

Joey in Virginia (a member of the GA gang)

March 28th, 2017|

Joey was born on 1/14/2008 and is part of the “GA gang” (numerous frenchies that were surrendered to FBV from one home in Georgia). Joey weighs 21 lbs and has one floppy ear. The vet found that his ear canals are small which is likely from chronic infections. Joey suffers from allergies and licks his feet so he is taking Apoquel to help manage these issues. He has been neutered and is up-to-date on his […]

The Georgia Gang

March 9th, 2017|

About 7 weeks ago, French Bulldog Village took in 8 frenchies from one home in Georgia. The original eight frenchies consisted of 6 males (Butch, Joey, Ringo, Patches, Gem, and Lover Boy) and 2 females (Thumbprint and Holly) ranging from 7 to 11 years of age.

We were fortunate to be introduced to a great vet in Georgia by one of our volunteers who gave us a generous discount on examining, spaying/neutering, microchipping and heartworm checking all […]

Wally in Illinois

October 12th, 2016|

Wally is 8 years old and was born in the month of July. He was born and raised in Fargo, ND and has a permanent tracheostomy which has been redone to open it more. Other than the trach, he is healthy and on no medications. Wally is house broken. When he needs to go potty, he rings a bell that hangs on the door. He is 21 lbs and is just a total love bug. He will sit […]

September 8th, 2016|

Ralph is a senior boy who is as sweet as can be! In his foster home, Ralph gets along great with his foster siblings. He does not display any signs of food aggression or toy guarding.

Ralph could stand to lose a few pounds, as his favorite past time is eating, getting treats, eating, and asking his foster parents to share any tasty morsels with him.

Ralph could be a little hard of hearing, and will be […]
