French Bulldogs In Foster Care

Joey in Virginia (one of the GA 8)

March 28th, 2017|

Joey was born on 1/14/2008 and is part of the GA 8 crew (eight frenchies surrendered to FBV from one home in Georgia). Joey weighs 21 lbs and has one floppy ear. The vet found that his ear canals are small which is likely from chronic infections. Joey suffers from allergies and licks his feet so he is taking Apoquel to help manage these issues. He has been neutered and is up-to-date on his […]

The Georgia Eight

March 9th, 2017|

The French Bulldog Village recently took in eight Frenchies that were surrendered from one home! This is a large number for any rescue and we are grateful to be able to step in and help the owners. BUT, with rescue comes significant medical costs and so we must ask all of you for help.

The Georgia 8 Frenchies range in age from 7 to 11 years old and all of the dogs will need either […]

Meet Lolita!! :)

November 18th, 2016|

We received a call from a rural Indiana shelter about a stray female French Bulldog. After her stray hold was up and she went unclaimed, discussions started and it wasn’t long before we brought this little girl into the Village. She was bestowed the name Lolita by her loving Foster Mom and her journey to finding the perfect forever began. Our first step with any of our dogs is a vet visit. This helps […]

Wally in Illinois

October 12th, 2016|

Wally is 8 years old and was born in the month of July. He was born and raised in Fargo, ND and has a permanent tracheostomy which has been redone to open it more. Other than the trach, he is healthy and on no medications. Wally is house broken. When he needs to go potty, he rings a bell that hangs on the door. He is 21 lbs and is just a total love bug. He will sit […]

Ralph

September 8th, 2016|

Ralph is a senior boy who is as sweet as can be! In his foster home, Ralph gets along great with his foster siblings. He does not display any signs of food aggression or toy guarding.

Ralph could stand to lose a few pounds, as his favorite past time is eating, getting treats, eating, and asking his foster parents to share any tasty morsels with him.

Ralph could be a little hard of hearing, and will be […]

A Happier Muggles

August 1st, 2016|

Update March 26, 2016
The French Bulldog Village has wonderful news!! We got a second opinion on Muggles and her kidneys are doing very well. In fact, she is well enough to undergo heartworm treatment! For this reason, she has graduated from being a “hospice” frenchie to being a “foster” frenchie. YAY Muggles!! :)

Update December 12, 2016-
Muggles continues to do well. She has been gaining weight since her spay. However, her foster mom is watching to make sure that […]
