June in Virginia

January 24th, 2018|

Please give a warm welcome to our newest foster girl, June, aka June “Bug!” June was retired from the same breeder as foster girl Grace. June is 6 years old and is currently laying her head down in VA. June had a premature baby on 1-13-2018. We have done her initial vetting making sure she does not have any other puppies; however, June has some nasty discharge so we ran a bunch of tests […]

Izzy in Florida

December 26th, 2017|

Please welcome Izzy to The Village. Izzy is 11 years old and was going to be euthanized. She is suffering from IVDD and allergies. Her family could not longer properly care for her, but the Vet who called FBV thought this precious girl still had some spunk left in her. She has a very wobbly walk but is not incontinent (at least she has that going for her). She is also very skinny. Please […]

Luna in New York

December 7th, 2017|

UPDATE 1/11/2018:

Luna is doing well in her foster home. While in foster care, Luna expelled a piece of rubber the size of a walnut. Her foster mom took her to the vet who induced vomiting and more pieces of rubber and other junk came up. She was kept overnight at the vet, observed, and supported with fluids. An x-ray and ultrasound showed no blockage. Obviously, Luna is a vacuum! She had eaten this stuff […]

Dexter in Pennsylvania

December 2nd, 2017|

Dexter is new to the Village and will be living with his foster family in PA. He was surrendered by a good Samaritan who adopted him from the shelter (he had been taken to the shelter for not getting along with a baby in the house). The woman who surrendered Dexter decided she was not ready for another dog after losing her beloved Frenchie to cancer. She contacted FBV because she knew we would […]

UPDATE 1/11/2018:

Alyse is still having issues with her ears, but her foster mom and the vet are working together to get her ear infections cleared up. Alyse’s foster mom reports that she is very cooperative with grooming. She is still working on housetraining and still needs to be spayed. She does not like the cat in her foster home and has exhibited a high prey drive. Please keep checking in for more updates on […]

Tank has not had surgery yet for his cherry eye and still needs to be neutered. Please keep this boy in your thoughts and stay tuned for more updates!

Please welcome Tank to the Village!!! Tank is an 8-month-old cutie who was surrendered to […]
