Atticus in his furever home!

February 26th, 2018|

This is a short story about our boy, Atticus. Atticus was originally surrendered in 2013. At that time, he was having some aggression problems.

He found a home in 2014. Unfortunately, that wasn’t intended to be his forever home. He was surrendered again in 2016 with behavioral issues and aggression. At that point in time, he did nibble on the fingers of his foster’s friend. Once again, Atticus was taken off the adoption list.

Fast forward […]

Ozzie in Pennsylvania

Ozzie is a 2 1/2 year old French Bulldog rescued from a puppy mill. Ozzie was diagnosed with GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) and came to us from ARF (Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons). His bio from the shelter states he does not get along with other dogs and will need to be the only animal in the house. In the week his foster home has had him, he has not met a dog […]

RIP Larry

February 20th, 2018|

It is with a very sad heart that we let the Village know that foster boy Larry passed away.

Foster mom said, “Larry had multiple seizures yesterday. We rushed him in for treatment but he continued to seize even after multiple injections. He also developed aspiration pneumonia from vomiting between the seizures. I know we tried our best but ultimately the best thing to do was to put him down. I’m so glad to haven […]

Bailey is an adorable little gal who is ready to find her forever home. Bailey was surrendered by a gentleman who absolutely loved her but had to move across country to care for an ailing family member. Since he did not feel he could handle caring for both his family member and a puppy, he decided to surrender Bailey to the Village knowing we would find her a wonderful new home. Her original home […]

When Grace came into our care, she desperately needed the surgery site to be cleaned and examined. After examination, we realized the suture was not allowing her to poop. […]

Gimli loving life in his new home!

February 13th, 2018|

On August 6, 2017, Gimli was given a new shot at life.  He was being adopted by Douglas and Jamel.  His previous owner surrendered him because he had some issues and they didn’t have time for him.

Douglas had a slight problem as to where to begin telling us about Gimli.

Gimli has been given a nickname, “Big Gims.”  He has been such a pleasure.  He has adapted very well to his new family and new […]

UPDATE 2/23/2018:

Foster girl June Bug came into FBV’s care on January 19th. If you don’t remember, June was surrendered from a breeder. She had just lost a puppy. When we took her for her vet appointment, June Bug medically checked out perfect except for a large mass on her back leg and some nasty discharge from having a puppy. Olive in her furever home

January 23rd, 2018|

This is a story about our rescue dog, Olive.  She was brought into our rescue group because her original owner said she was “aggressive.”  With the help of one of our foster moms, Karen, Olive went to her forever home perfectly fine.  All it took was a couple of corrections that Karen showed her.

Recently, we heard from Olive’s new mama and this is a summary of what she had to say:

“This is the tale […]
