Patches, now Buster Posey, in his fur-ever home!

June 27th, 2017|

Patches was adopted earlier this year. His new family has this to say:

“Patches is doing GREAT! He now goes by the name of Buster Posey. He has fit in beautifully with our mastiff Veruca Salt and pug Spike Lee. He is a refreshing source of energy among our otherwise sleepy/lazy pups:)

He jumps backward down the hallway (every time!) and always bumps his butt on the walls. He gobbles his food and loves fresh water. His […]

Alumna Gigi (formerly Peaches)

June 19th, 2017|

This is the story about a little girl formally known as Peaches.  She is now Gigi, short for Giselle.  When Gigi walked into her new home in October 2016, she felt right at home there.  She plopped into each person’s lap for snuggles and kisses.  It was as if she knew this was her new family.

Gigi is a super sassy girl.  She doesn’t bark; she “talks” and it is so funny.  She will complain, […]

Kiki being spoiled in her forever home!

June 19th, 2017|

One year and two days ago, Dana and David picked Kiki up from her foster home.  It was the last day of teaching for the summer when they couldn’t wait to take Kiki to her forever home.  They got to meet Bernice and Conrad, Kiki’s foster brother and sister.  Kiki became VERY jealous when Dana and David showed any affection to anyone but her.  She was telling them, “Hey! Back off! They’re mine.”

This summer […]

Alumnus Otto (formerly Captain)

June 12th, 2017|

Hi Villagers.  This is the story of Otto.  Otto’s original name was Captain.  He is another dog that was adopted in 2013.  Marie has sent us so much information about him.

Otto is the love of her life and was lying on top of her in bed when she sent our FBV alumni coordinator this information.

“For 20 years my husband and I have had pit bull terriers and for the last 12 years we had […]

Palin, now Duchess, in her forever home!

June 12th, 2017|

Well, after a short break, the FRENCH BULLDOG VILLAGE Alumni are back.

Our Palin was adopted way back in 2013.  Recently, our alumni coordinator contacted her loving family.  This is what Cindy had to say:

“Palin, who was renamed Duchess, is doing extremely well.  She has completely dominated the house, convincing us to break our rule of no dogs sleeping with us in the bed and becoming extremely playful at meal times to gently encourage us to […]

Atticus in Ohio – AVAILABLE!

May 25th, 2017|

 ATTICUS HAS A BITE HISTORY!
A FENCED YARD IS A MUST!
Atticus is prone to bite in some specific situations. He is a territorial dog at times and will bite if the situation arises. The only way to prevent this is to avoid those situations. This is not a training issue as he is reacting on his instinct in these elevated situations. If you avoid these specific situations, then Atticus is a great dog. You must […]

Alumna Olive

May 22nd, 2017|

What?  Another alumna?

This is the background on Olive.  Olive was surrendered to the FRENCH BULLDOG VILLAGE RESCUE because she was aggressive towards the owners’ other dog and sometimes their toddler.  She was very nervous around children.  Perhaps, it was her IVDD that made her protective of herself.  Poor Olive also suffers from allergies.

We contacted her new mom and have been updated on this beautiful, fun loving girl.  Olive is doing well!  She is a […]

Lolita in Kentucky – AVAILABLE!

LOLITA HAS A BITE HISTORY!
She will not be placed in a home with any of the following household members: small children or children under 10 years of age, dogs (small or large, male or female), cats, birds, or other small animals.
We received a call from a rural Indiana shelter about a stray female French Bulldog. After her stray hold was up and she went unclaimed, discussions started and it wasn’t long before we brought this […]

RIP Sweet Ringo

May 19th, 2017|

FBV “Georgia Gang” foster Ringo passed away on April 20, 2017. He was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer shortly after arriving at his foster mom’s home. Here is what she had to say about sweet Ringo’s passing:

“My beloved protector, FBV foster Ringo, passed today with the compassionate assistance of his hospice service.

I knew his time was coming but it wasn’t until a professional evaluation earlier this week that it became very apparent he was […]
