Dear Villagers….

We have some very sad news to share and ask for your prayers.

Foster boy Dexter had a massive seizure and passed away. Dexter has never had a seizure before or showed signs of anything medically wrong with him. The family got him into a vet asap but he was already gone. Please hold your hands and hearts out to his foster parents as they mourn their little charge and please hug your own […]

Rest in Peace Bunny :(

August 22nd, 2018|

It is with great sadness we notify all of our followers that FBV recently took in a beautiful pied girl named Bunny. We rescued her from a shelter where she was not able to walk. We took her directly to the neurologist who feared the worst. Today it was confirmed that Bunny has myelomalacia. This is a painful and terminal disease and with the direction of the neurologist and staff, we made the decision […]

Run Free Dottie

August 6th, 2018|

A beautiful tribute written by Dottie’s foster momma:
Yesterday, our family lost one of our own. Our amazing, beautiful hospice girl, Dottie, crossed the bridge. Dottie came into our world in 2013 after being returned into rescue. She was full of spunk despite multiple health issues. She had a malformed spine which caused mobility issues and later led to complete immobility and incontinence. She was a two time cancer survivor and loved everyone and all […]

FallonBoyd, her name means Golden Leader, and she was truly that! She was her family’s Blonde Bombshell, Golden Girl, Demanding Diva and Sweetest Soul!!

She was a tyrant when it came to her meals; there had to be acceptable snacks given at HER determined hours or you would hear the wrath of Fallon. She loved to go for rides but ONLY in […]

Here are some words from her family:

“Miss Gigi has been fighting very aggressive Mast cell tumors since July of 2017. We tried surgery and chemo and nothing was effective but she has been a fighter! We were discharged to hospice care about 3 weeks ago […]

The Village was devastated to hear that Alum Chauncey crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Here is a beautiful memorial tribute his forever mom wrote:

“I sat for hours dreading writing this. I write a lot of these for our past Alum and with each one, I mourn for their families. The pain each family experiences when we lose our best friend; truly cannot be put into words, especially one like Chauncey.

Chauncey aka the Ole Man came […]

It is with great sadness that we let the Village know that foster Izzy crossed the Rainbow Bridge this past weekend.

RIP Larry

February 20th, 2018|

It is with a very sad heart that we let the Village know that foster boy Larry passed away.

Foster mom said, “Larry had multiple seizures yesterday. We rushed him in for treatment but he continued to seize even after multiple injections. He also developed aspiration pneumonia from vomiting between the seizures. I know we tried our best but ultimately the best thing to do was to put him down. I’m so glad to haven […]

In Loving Memory of Meatball

December 14th, 2017|

It is with great sadness we let the Village know that Alum Meatball passed away yesterday due to complications from megacolon. When Meatball was adopted by his wonderful family, he had been diagnosed with Addison’s disease. The family said he did wonderfully over the years with this. They are heartbroken and said he was a feisty man who loved to yodel! We send our condolences to his family.
