Charm is 7 years old and weighs 21 pounds. She is one of the GA gang frenchies (10 frenchies who were surrendered by one home in GA). She is one of the last of the gang to be looking for her forever home and such an amazing girl, like Charm, deserves a great one!

Charm is a low energy frenchie. Her foster mom says she is the typical “couch potato” that is talked about in French Bulldog books. She has no interest in playing with dog toys, but does like to chase hands (like a cat)! Charm loves to cuddle and enjoys sitting outside in the sun. She absolutely loves to be petted and provided with attention all the time! She has also found her bossy side recently.

Her biggest ongoing health issue is her tummy problems. She came into rescue with terrible tummy trouble. Her foster mom tried several different dog foods and even gave her probiotics; however, it was finally determined that prescription food from the veterinarian’s office is what Charm needs. If she doesn’t eat the prescription dog food, she has horribly runny stools. She never gets people food or regular dog treats. Charm’s foster mom has also started her on fermented goat milk, but this is still a work in progress.

She would be happiest in a house with either calm dogs or no other dogs. She gets along great with her foster dog siblings who are male and laid back. However, when she goes to her foster uncle’s house, she gets a little stressed out and bossy with his crazy pack of dogs.

Charm is partially housebroken. She was really progressing with house training until her foster mom moved into a new house. With the move, she completely lost everything she had learned. She likes using a doggie door to get outside, but does not always equate it with going potty outside.

Charm would love a fenced yard but it is not required. She is crate trained, but prefers not to be crated. She is also leash trained. Charm will require someone who is home all day or if her person works, she will require someone who can come home at lunch or have a pet sitter/dog walker provide her with a mid-day potty break. She needs someone who can be patient with her. New situations cause her confusion and she completely has to relearn everything she previously knew. She is so sweet and truly charming, but it takes a lot at her age to learn new situations.

Her foster mom has completely fallen in love with this precious girl (who wouldn’t immediately fall in love with Charm?).  She is so sweet and is really quite ladylike. She is always very polite. Her foster mom thinks that Charm could turn into a great therapy dog with a little more training. She already knows how to sit, leave it and come on command.

If you think you could be Charm’s forever home that she so greatly deserves, please apply to adopt her. She truly is an amazing frenchie!
