Sammy is a 32 pound lump of love, but is protective of his crate and can be food aggressive when it comes to other dogs.  Sammy has been known to be dog aggressive, so he may tolerate a very passive dog but would have issues with another alpha-dog.  He is fiercely loyal, gets very attached and will follow you everywhere.  He jumps up on the couch or bed and likes to sleep touching you.  Sometimes he will cry like a baby if you don’t let him.  He is very intelligent and knows what he can get away with!

If you like a dog with a lot of character Sammyâ s the one for you. He can sit in a way that doesnâ t look natural for a dog (very funny). If you try to lift him up its like picking up a large stuffed animal except heâ s all dead weight (32 lbs of it). He is laid back most of the time and only plays if it doesnâ t take to much energy. So far in his time in foster care, he has been fiercely loyal (he guards my shoes for me and no one but me better touch them).  He gets very attached and will follow you everywhere even if it means wiggling his fat body under a fence. He jumps up on the bed or couch and likes to sleep touching you. Sometimes he will cry like a baby if you donâ t let him come up (spoiled rotten!). He is intelligent and knows what he can get away with. He is for the most part house trained but if you werenâ t paying attention he has had a few accidents. He is not very active but will play with you when you are ready. He has gotten along well with only other dog in
 home, but they do not play together, they tolerate each other though they sometimes nap together. Sammy has been known to be dog aggressive, he may tolerate a very passive dog but would have issues with another alpha-dog. He is best suited in a home with no other pets where he would be doted on and the center of attention.
Sammy likes to take a bath but does not like to be sprayed by a hose (he will viscously attack it!). Sammy is also extremely crate aggressive and also does not like being left in a room alone (he may grab your pant leg and start shaking it!). When left loose he is well behaved and has never touched a thing. Sammy is a hunter by nature; anything that moves is fair game (bug, lizard, bird, squirrel, toad, snake, etcâ ¦). For Sammyâ s own safety it would be best if Sammy were adopted outside of Florida. Sammy can be protective of his food or toys with another dog but with a human you can take his dish away while it is still half full (and you can still count 5 fingers!). Like most frenchies he will only come when heâ s ready (better inside, outside heâ s too busy hunting). All in all, Sammy is handsome, loving, an adorable. You canâ t help but love him.
