This is the story of Diesel. He was adopted in August 2016 after being kept in a kennel for two years.
Our alumni coordinators contacted his owner and this is what she had to say about Diesel:
“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog. My two little girls absolutely adore him along with everyone else he meets. He is at my side all day and helps me take the girls to soccer practice, piano lessons and school. No more days in the crate for him… he loves a good car ride. Everyone we see knows him by name. It warms my heart to know we can give him the love and time I know he always needed from his former people.
He is literally the most mellow dog ever, especially for a boy of only two years old. The only thing Diesel barks at or gets worked up about is the trash truck and Benjamin, the neighborhood cat, who comes to visit him at the window every day.  Benjamin comes to say “hi” (maybe he knows it makes Diesel crazy).
When we got Diesel, he had some skin issues and could clear the room with his smell… I switched him to a raw food diet (Smallbatch) and his skin and coat look perfect now. If you can believe it, he is stink free!!! I recommend this to a lot of other Frenchie owners now; it was a game changer for him.
Diesel has completely changed our family. He has brought so much joy to our house that was already overflowing with love. I’m happy he now always has a lap to sit in, little girls to play fetch with, and a sunny spot to nap in.”
From what we understand, this family is the most gentle, loving family there is. We are so happy that Diesel ended up in their home.
