Celie is a French Bulldog
Date last updated: 10/16/11
Location: Southern California
Age: 7
Gender: Spayed Female
Color: Brindle
Handicaps: no
Health Issues: Bladder Cancer
Celie came to the village after not being “needed” as a breeder dog anymore. A Village volunteer drove to pick her up and you could see the happiness in her eyes to be going for a ride in the car! She reeked of urine and had an extremely greasy feel to her coat. Once at her foster home, she got a warm bath and a much needed nail clipping.
Celie went in for her spay on 10/3/11. Although her blood work was good, she had both ear and bladder infections. During her spay, the Vet saw some tumors on her bladder. An ultrasound was scheduled, and it was confirmed yesterday that she does indeed have bladder cancer. We are saddened to learn this, but grateful that the Village is committed to getting her as healthy as possible and finding her a forever home that will spoil this sweet girl and treat her as a frenchie princess should be treated.
Celie’s supplements are not cheap. She will need these supplements to help keep her cancer from aggressive growth. If you would like to contribute to our special girl’s care you can donate directly to the Village. Just say it is for the beautiful soul Celie. We know she is worth it, and once you meet her, you will agree!
