Bailey in Maryland

January 8th, 2018|

Please welcome Bailey, our newest foster girl, to the Village. She was tearfully surrendered due to a family health crisis. She is almost 6 months old. She is already spayed, housebroken, and knows some commands like sit and come. She is also crate trained! We are still in the process of evaluating her. However, she will be ready for adoption soon. If you are interested in adopting this little cutie, please sign up to […]

Oscar in Ohio- AVAILABLE!!!

January 3rd, 2018|

Oscar is a handsome 3 year old boy! He was surrendered because he was not getting along with the other dogs in his last home. His previous owners reported that outside he got along with the other dogs, but inside he would attack them or play very rough making them get mad. He also was demanding of attention from the male of the household.

Oscar appears to be very healthy. He does have a luxating […]

Calypso in Kentucky- ADOPTION PENDING!

January 2nd, 2018|

Calypso is ready to find her forever home! Calypso came from a puppy mill in the Northeast. She was purchased from the puppy mill after having a couple litters, but was returned to the breeder when she needed a surgery the owners could not afford. The puppy mill breeder surrendered her to a vet’s office who contacted French Bulldog Village regarding taking this beautiful girl into our care. We, of course, couldn’t turn this […]

Memorial for Bodhi

January 1st, 2018|

Dear Village,

It breaks our hearts to make this post. Bohdi, formerly Butch of the Georgia Gang, passed over the rainbow bridge. Below is a sweet message from his family. Fly high sweet boy!

“On Christmas Eve, our sweet little Bodhi suffered a series of seizures. We rushed him to the ER where he had another seizure. They could not stop them and we had to put him to sleep to end his suffering. He died […]

Grace in Virginia

January 1st, 2018|

Please welcome the Village’s new foster girl, Grace! Grace is 3-1/2 years old and is settling down in Virginia. Grace had surgery for anal prolapse earlier in December. When she came into our care, the wound needed to be cleaned badly. We had to remove the suture because she could not poop. The opening was no larger than the thickness of a pen. Since the suture has been removed, she has been able to […]

Izzy in Florida

December 26th, 2017|

Please welcome Izzy to The Village. Izzy is 11 years old and was going to be euthanized. She is suffering from IVDD and allergies. Her family could not longer properly care for her, but the Vet who called FBV thought this precious girl still had some spunk left in her. She has a very wobbly walk but is not incontinent (at least she has that going for her). She is also very skinny. Please […]

BOHDI (formerly Butch from the GA gang) in his forever home!

December 14th, 2017|

Just as our Alumni Coordinator, Gail, has been doing for the past year, she sent a letter to BOHDI ‘s family
asking about him and how he has been doing. She received an answer from Christine (BOHDI’s mom) that didn’t omit one thing. The following is an excerpt from his mom’s reply on November 20, 2017:

BOHDI is living the most fabulous life since he was adopted on October 9th, 2017.

“We are so happy with how he […]

In Loving Memory of Meatball

December 14th, 2017|

It is with great sadness we let the Village know that Alum Meatball passed away yesterday due to complications from megacolon. When Meatball was adopted by his wonderful family, he had been diagnosed with Addison’s disease. The family said he did wonderfully over the years with this. They are heartbroken and said he was a feisty man who loved to yodel! We send our condolences to his family.

Fly high Meatball

Luna in New York

December 7th, 2017|

UPDATE 1/11/2018:

Luna is doing well in her foster home. While in foster care, Luna expelled a piece of rubber the size of a walnut. Her foster mom took her to the vet who induced vomiting and more pieces of rubber and other junk came up. She was kept overnight at the vet, observed, and supported with fluids. An x-ray and ultrasound showed no blockage. Obviously, Luna is a vacuum! She had eaten this stuff […]

Dexter in Pennsylvania

December 2nd, 2017|

Dexter is new to the Village and will be living with his foster family in PA. He was surrendered by a good Samaritan who adopted him from the shelter (he had been taken to the shelter for not getting along with a baby in the house). The woman who surrendered Dexter decided she was not ready for another dog after losing her beloved Frenchie to cancer. She contacted FBV because she knew we would […]
