UPDATE:

Foster girl Penelope is doing wonderfully in her foster home! She will be spayed this month. Stay tuned for more updates!

Please give a BIG welcome to our newest foster girl, Penelope! Penelope was found wandering in the woods by two wonderful people. After a search for a family was a dead end, they contacted FBV to see if we were able to take her into our care! We are still evaluating her, but we can report that she is estimated to be around 5 years of age, is up-to-date on vaccines, has no current health issues and has had puppies in the past. Penelope came into our care very skinny, but her foster mom reports that she is now up to 20 lbs. Her foster mom reports that she is a sweet girl who gets along with every human and dog she meets and absolutely loves toys and bones! Penelope is a little skittish when it comes to being picked up; however, with time, we believe she will become more comfortable with this. She still needs to work on potty training, but has had no accidents in her crate when left for short periods of time. We will continue to keep the Village updated on Penelope’s progress!
