Pongo has been adopted by an amazing new mom!! He not only has a fantastic new mom to love…he also has an awesome new Frenchie brother. The boys are already getting along well and love playing with each other. Pongo has made himself right at home; it’s like he has always been part of the family. Please help us in congratulating Pongo on finding his forever home and help us wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! That’s right…8/15 is his birthday! Sending you lots of birthday hugs and kisses, Pongo!

Pongo is a very handsome 3-year-old boy with a huge noggin and an even larger personality! He came into FBV as an owner surrender when they no longer had the time to figure out his digestive disorders. Pongo was severely malnourished and underweight when he entered the Village. After a few doctor visits, it was determined that Pongo has a very mild case of Megaesophagus. While in foster care, this has been completely under control.

Pongo also had nares and soft palate surgery, which has helped any issues with vomiting he had, helping him to continue packing on the pounds. While he still needs to add on a few more pounds by way of some muscle and belly, he’ll be okay as eating is his favorite hobby!! Speaking of eating…Pongo requested that we note here - missing a meal is not an option in his new home, so Forever Families please make sure you understand how important his mealtimes are! 🙂 Also, he is NOT food aggressive in anyway shape or form; but we would recommend being VERY cautious with little hands because Pongo is very fast when food falls to the ground. There is no 5 second rule in his mind as it won’t be there that long.

A couple additional notes that Pongo doesn’t like us to point out because he’s a little self-conscious, but we need people to know…because of how malnourished Pongo was he lost a lot of muscle mass. While he is gaining it back slowly, his back legs still aren’t quite 100% yet. Because of this, he will pee on his front paws when he goes outside…not too big of an issue for his people as a wipe down with a baby wipe when he comes inside, and he is all cleaned up. Just ask him for his paw and he’ll give it to you.
