Toots is not yet ready for adoption. We are still evaluating her personality and addressing her medical needs. An email notification will be sent when she becomes ready for adoption. If you wish to receive the notification, please sign up for our mailing list at the top of the front page of our website. Adoption fees are set at the time a dog goes available and applications can only be submitted at that time. Please follow our website and social media pages for updates on Toots!

Please give a warm Village welcome to Toots. She is a 15lb 1.5-year-old female who was surrendered when her owner could not afford her expensive vet bill.

In an effort to be bred by her original owner, she was artificially inseminated with a glass tube, and it caused a perforation to her bladder, ureter, and left kidney. This caused a massive infection that went unnoticed and nearly took her life. Toots had costly life-saving surgery to remove all her infected reproductive organs, left kidney, and to repair her bladder. We are so grateful that she made her way into our care and will have a life that is not limited to breeding.

The demand for puppies has increased tremendously. With COVID-19 and everyone quarantined at home, everyone wants a puppy and they want that puppy NOW. We cannot stress enough the importance of researching to find a reputable breeder before getting a puppy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with purchasing a puppy, but please find a reputable breeder. Most good breeders have a waiting list. Find a breeder that health tests and doesn't breed a dog until they are at least two years old. Also, find a breeder that breeds for the betterment of the French Bulldog breed and not for profit.

Please keep Toots in your thoughts as she continues to heal. She is not totally out of the woods yet. She has been released from the hospital and will be fostered in North Carolina. Follow along for updates on how she is progressing.

We greatly appreciate any and all donations. $1000 will help us provide Toots with some basic essentials, such as food, bowls, and a harness, as well as cover some of her vet bills.
