Remember Mr. Wembley? This sweet boy had surgery in early 2014 to repair his hips and leg. After a week in the shelter with no medical care, he was taken in by the Village. Many of us cheered him on during his surgery, and as his devoted Foster Mom took excellent care of him for several months while he recovered and regained his mobility.

Here is an update from his forever family:

“Wembley is doing very well. He is an amazing dog and everyone who meets him just loves him. He’s a big adorable love machine. He’s even won over his Frenchie brother Alge! They hang out all the time and Wembley gives him lots of kisses. Totally amazing!

The next big adventure on our horizon is St. John in the Virgin Islands. We bought a house there to fix up and it looks like we’ll be spending a few months of the year there, possibly starting in February. We are trying to get Wembley and Alge excited about being island dogs! St. John is about 60% National Park so there are tons of trails to hike and beaches to explore and lizards to chase. Very dog-friendly!

Thank you so much for choosing us for Wembley. We couldn’t possibly be happier to have him in our lives. And thank you so much for taking such amazing care of him. When people find out about his history and his experience with the Village they are absolutely amazed.”

We hope Wembley’s family sends us updates from the Virgin Islands!
