Introducing Aimee!! She is 4 years old and 20 lbs. She likes walks, playing with her foster mom, and is a total love bug!
Aimee is healthy and now spayed. She was a little scaredy cat upon coming into rescue. Initially, she stayed in her crate all the time except to eat and go on walks and was very afraid of her foster dad (even running away if she heard his voice). Now she follows foster mom and dad everywhere; however, if she hears a new sound or sees other people, she still bolts for her crate.
She is housebroken and fine with the resident dogs but also doesn’t really have much to do with them. Initially, she would growl or snap at them when they got too close to her crate/bedroom (gated off area). This has stopped now, and she will lay on the couch with them without issue.
She doesn’t like walks as it seems to scare her being on a leash. She will tolerate a leash in the backyard but will not go towards the rural road nearby. She sleeps all night without a peep and is such a happy girl when woken up to be taken outside. She likes doing zoomies in the yard and has learned how to go up the doggy stairs to the couch and bed. She loves being close to her foster parents!
Aimee’s growth so far in foster care is a testament to the power of love and trust. As she cautiously opens up to new experiences, her true beauty is shining through! She is such a sweet, loving girl!
We greatly appreciate any and all donations! $400 will help us provide Aimee with some basic essentials, such as a leash and food, as well as help us cover some of her vet bills.
