Meet Banks – Couch Cuddler & Playful Pal!
Hello, I'm Banks! I am 3.5 years old and weigh 26.6 pounds. I was surrendered because my previous owner struggled to manage my skin issues. I'm an itchy boy, but don't let that fool you—I have a heart full of love and a spirit ready to play!
When I arrived to my foster home, I was in rough shape, but thanks to some TLC, I'm already feeling so much better! I’ve been to the regular vet and received numerous treatments for my skin so far, including antibiotics, medicated shampoo, Prednisone, and a Cytopoint injection. I will also be seeing a dermatologist soon to get my skin issues and ears (which are in a bad way) further evaluated.
I'm at that perfect age where I have puppy energy but also know how to relax and curl up on the couch for a good snuggle.
Personality Snapshot:
* Affection Level: Through the roof! My love language is physical touch—pet me all day, please and thank you.
* People Skills: I adore everyone I've met so far. I'm a social butterfly!
* Toys: Bones are my jam, but I'm still figuring out this whole stuffy and ball thing. I think I just need another pup to show me how it's done.
* Training in Progress: I'm working on leash manners, not jumping on people, and some separation anxiety. But in just a short time, I've made great progress!
Home Life:
* Crate Training: I'm getting better at being alone. I made it an hour in the crate today, and that’s a win in my book!
* Walks: I'm still warming up to them, but we're taking it slow and steady.
Likes & Dislikes:
* Likes: Belly rubs, cuddles, and being close to my humans.
* Dislikes: Itchy skin (obviously) and being left alone.
Future Plans:
Once I'm up-to-date on all my shots, I'll be ready to meet other dogs. I think having a canine buddy will help me learn the ropes and show me how to enjoy all the fun toys!
