Frankie is not yet ready for adoption. We are still evaluating his personality and addressing his medical needs. An email notification will be sent when he becomes ready for adoption. If you wish to receive the notification, please sign up for our mailing list at the top of the front page of our website. Adoption fees are set at the time a dog goes available and applications can only be submitted at that time. Please follow our website and social media pages for updates on Frankie!

Frankie is a handsome boy who is 2 years old. He was taken to the Humane Society by a good Samaritan who had found him hit by a car. It is suspected that he was in rough shape for a few days to a week before he was found. The Humane Society contacted FBV and with the help of another rescue, Frankie was pulled from the shelter and taken to an ER specialty hospital.

Frankie had a dislocated left hip and fractured left femur and several fractured toes. He also had a fractured right tibia. He underwent surgery and is healing amazingly well but will require many months of therapy, recheck exams and radiographs. He will most likely walk with a cute little limp as well.

He has had some issues with regurgitation. It’s getting better and happens mostly when he drinks water now. His foster mom makes sure to help him take small sips and drink a little bit at a time. This is being monitored and if it gets worse, he will need some diagnostics done with an internal medicine specialist.

Frankie has been through a lot, but he continues to heal and be in good spirits. His foster mom tells us he is a really sweet boy and loves to cuddle. Frankie’s resiliency is absolutely amazing, and we are very proud of how far he has come!

We greatly appreciate any and all donations! $3000 will help us provide Frankie with some basic essentials, such as a leash and food, as well as help us cover some of his vet bills.
