Giuseppe in Florida
Giuseppe is not yet ready for adoption. We are still evaluating his personality and addressing his medical needs. An email notification will be sent when he becomes ready for adoption. Please welcome Giuseppe to FBV!! He is 4 years old and loves life. When excited he will stand on his back legs and flail his front paws around until you pet him.
He is very sweet and calm. He’s a little apprehensive at first but then his friendliness and curiosity kick in and he is all about fun and playing. He loves going on walks and does great on a leash. He also loves to chew bones, get belly rubs and go on car rides.
Giuseppe has been a well-mannered boy so far except occasionally, he has been caught growling at one of the resident dogs. His foster mom feels it is due to resource guarding her and her attention. He has been easily redirected in these situations and has not shown resource guarding with food (though he is fed separately from the other dogs).
Giuseppe has been to the vet and found to be healthy. However, he does need to be neutered and have a cute little snaggletooth removed. He is house trained but has been marking so hopefully his neuter will help. He is also crate trained and will go in his crate when told to do so. He gets a little antsy at night, so he sleeps in his crate currently but is getting more comfortable sleeping on the couch and bed with his foster family.
