Griselda in Florida
Griselda is not yet ready for adoption. We are still evaluating her personality and addressing her medical needs. An email notification will be sent when she becomes ready for adoption. Griselda has made her way to FBV! She is being fostered in Florida and was surrendered when her previous owner could not handle her care anymore.
Here are some facts about Griselda, with more to come as we get to know her better:
- She is a year old and weighs 24 pounds.
- She has cherry eye that will be fixed when she is spayed. She sadly has gone into heat so her spay will have to wait a couple months.
- Her ears are not in great shape. They are so bad that the vet couldn’t even get into see what was going on. He put her on a steroid and an antibiotic hoping that the meds will take down some of the swelling so that he will be able to see what’s going on in the ear canal.
- She has some sort of skin infection. The vet did some testing so we will see if it is fungal or bacterial.
- She was in need of a pawdicure upon coming into rescue, but the vet did that while she was there for her checkup.
- She was an angel at the vet.
- Foster mom cleans her ears every day and gives her a bath twice a week for her skin issues.
- She is truly a sweetheart! She really LOVES people!
- We are still learning how she will be with other dogs.
- She can scream pretty loudly when not getting her way so likely apartment/condo living won’t be best, but time will tell.
