Mavis in Maryland
Mavis is not yet ready for adoption. We are still evaluating her personality and addressing her medical needs. An email notification will be sent when she becomes ready for adoption. Please join me in welcoming Miss Mavis to FBV! Mavis is 2 years old (possibly older) and weighs 25 lbs. She is being fostered in Maryland.
She has been to see the vet and has a skin infection with a lot of hairless spots and a less serious ear infection. She is currently receiving treatment for both. Her coat is already vastly improved with medicated baths (that she is tolerant of) and antibiotics.
She will need continued training to walk better on a leash (though this has already improved in the short time she has been in rescue) but when she has had enough, she has had enough and will make you carry her the rest of the way.
She loves to eat and is by no means a finicky eater. She is learning stairs but is crate trained and will happily sleep and snore away in her crate.
