Mochi in Florida
Mochi is not yet ready for adoption. We are still evaluating his personality and addressing his medical needs. An email notification will be sent when he becomes ready for adoption. Please welcome Mochi to FBV!! He is a 5-month-old cutie who was surrendered to FBV due to having bilateral front leg fractures. He also was found to have a heart murmur.
He was seen by the cardiologist to further evaluate his heart given the murmur. The echocardiogram that was completed showed severe valvular pulmonic stenosis, suspected concurrent R2A coronary anomaly and possible small PDA. His secondary heart changes are moderate, and he was started on a low dose of atentolol.
He also was seen by an orthopedic surgeon this week and had both legs repaired. It was a long, invasive surgery but his heart did well. Thank goodness! Both legs are now stable, and he just needs to heal now.
Mochi is super sweet and energetic, so he is on quite a bit of medications to help keep him calm, safe and pain free. We will keep everyone posted as he heals, and we gain more information from his vet team.
