Sage in Pennsylvania
Sage is not yet ready for adoption. We are still evaluating her personality and addressing her medical needs. An email notification will be sent when she becomes ready for adoption. Please welcome Sage to the Village! She is a sweet 11-month-old gal who was 36 lbs upon arrival to the rescue. Foster mom has her on a weight loss plan which is already working…she has lost 3 lbs!
Sage is a Velcro dog for sure! She loves being with people, especially her foster mom, and gets along with dogs. She also loves going in the yard and rolling around in the grass as well as going on short walks. She not a huge fan of her crate, though.
She has been to the vet numerous times. She received her vaccines, heartworm testing and fecal testing. She was found to have Giardia which has been treated. She has some allergies, so the vet gave her a Cytopoint injection to help. She also has a UTI which is currently being treated and for which she is now on prescription food. She will have her airway evaluated by a specialist and will be spayed this month as well.
Sage is not the greatest at taking pills but is tolerant of baths and other grooming. She is not at all phased by thunderstorms and is a rock star in the car. You do have to watch her around rocks, though, as she will sometimes put them in her mouth.
Sage is a lovely pup who will make a wonderful family member when she is ready to find her forever home. Keep a look out for when she makes it to the available page!
