Sasha in Pennsylvania

Sasha is not yet ready for adoption. We are still evaluating her personality and addressing her medical needs. An email notification will be sent when she becomes ready for adoption. If you wish to receive the notification, please sign up for our mailing list at the top of the front page of our website. Adoption fees are set at the time a dog goes available and applications can only be submitted at that time. Please follow our website and social media pages for updates on Sasha!

Please welcome sweet & sassy Sasha to the Village! She is a 7-year-old girl and weighs 25.7 lbs.

Sasha was used as a breeding dog. She was surrendered to FBV after a call came into the vet clinic about euthanasia of a dog with severe allergies (ears, eyes & feet). We were told Sasha was an outside dog, but her foster home is not so sure; she's pretty comfortable in their home, doing what she knows best...sleeping, snoring, and oh the occasional tooting!

Sasha rides well in the car and wants to look out the window (yes, you will need a booster seat!) and occasionally take big sniffs of air! She loves to be touched and brushed all over but doesn't like to be picked up - she will run if she has a chance! She likes toys with dangling legs or arms and enjoys chewing on antlers. She also likes treats (total soft mouth), food (not food aggressive), taking walks (at least twice a day), and being with her humans (she's not a Velcro dog, but definitely likes to be around someone if possible).

She will require slow intros to new people and tends to prefer women to men. She also will require slow introductions with dogs...she can be vocal when meeting new pups. Her foster family will be working on getting her more comfortable around dogs and people but absolutely NO to cats for this gal! Her foster family is working with her on some leash training. She knows the basic commands: sit, heal, stay, and no bark. She is housebroken as well - ZERO accidents so far!

She is up to date on her shots but is not yet spayed. She has a vet re-check on 2/21 for an ear and eye infection. She also will be seen by a cardiologist on 2/23 for a heart murmur/arrhythmia to see if she's a candidate for spay.

She has four beds in various rooms in her foster home but prefers to sleep in a medium sized crate (with the door OPEN and blankets and toys inside) in the kitchen overnight. She has not jumped up on any furniture (except once on the human bed when she was looking for her foster mom). She goes up and down stairs without assistance and enjoys having a fenced yard for zoomies and laying outside in the sun.

Sasha is the sweetest girl and will use this to her advantage if you let her! Sasha is going to make someone, or some family, feel like they hit the lottery when she is ready to find her forever home!

We greatly appreciate any and all donations! $400 will help us provide Sasha with some basic essentials, such as a leash and food, as well as help us cover some of her vet bills.
