Mack in Virginia– ADOPTED!
Mack has been adopted by his foster family. He has been under their care for quite awhile and during that time, they have grown to love him immensely....so much so they couldn’t bear to see him leave. We are thrilled that he will be staying in such a great and loving home. Way to go Mack....you have found your forever!

Our big boy Mack is doing well, but he’s been having some difficulty breathing. It’s been determined that he needs to have palate surgery and possibly TECA (Total Ear Canal Ablation) surgery. Palate surgery is needed when a dog displays symptoms of Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome and has an elongated soft palate (the soft part of the roof of the mouth). Mack has a soft palate that is too long for the length of the mouth; the excess length partially blocks the entrance to the trachea (windpipe) at the back of the throat.
Please welcome Mack to FBV!! Mack, who will be 5 years old in December, is the biggest, sweetest, most lovable Frenchie you will ever meet! It’s very easy to fall in love with his 40 lbs of blue greatness. He is such a BIG goofball and when he comes running to you at full speed, it literally feels like a MACK TRUCK!
He loves to play with his foster dog siblings and usually tires them out. Mack genuinely loves being around people that show him love and attention. He has a couple of ‘odd’ quirks. He likes to lie on a wooden shelf during the first part of the night and enjoys sitting on top of the recycling trash bag that is in the kitchen of his foster home. The other day he was caught lying inside the bag. LOL!
Mack is a healthy boy. He has a couple ‘issues’ but nothing that isn’t already in the process of getting better. He came into rescue with a super, super, crusty dry nose, an ear infection, conjunctivitis in his eyes (he wasn’t producing tears and is being given drops everyday for a month to see his prognosis), his back leg was periodically popping out of place and he was in much need of a bath.
He tolerates nail trimmings, baths, ear cleanings, eye drops, and ointments on his nose very, very well. He is not fussy at all. There are some things he needs to continue to work on, though, such as potty training, leash walking and going up and down stairs. Can you imagine lugging 40 lbs of pup up and down stairs multiple times a day, everyday...It isn’t easy!!!
