Lucy Lou in South Carolina

Please welcome Lucy Lou to French Bulldog Village! She is 8 years old and came to the rescue due to several years of ongoing skin issues that her family could no longer devote the time to addressing.

Lucy Lou has hemorrhagic lesions on her head that were to be removed prior to coming into rescue, but the procedure had to be postponed because of a skin infection. She has had biopsies taken to see exactly what is going on with her skin. She also has swollen feet and currently receives medicated foot soaks every couple of days. Her skin does seem to be showing some improvement with a change in antibiotics.

She loves lounging on the couch with some good chew toys and being her human’s shadow, following her person everywhere. She is very food motivated and very verbal. She will even bark or whine if she sees treats on the counter or food in general. She is also trained to sit, lay down and stay!

Lucy Lou has been doing okay with the other dogs in her foster home, but this was after a slow introduction to fully integrate her with them. She loves to play especially with the resident male dog but is verbal with playing so it took the other dogs a bit to get used to this.
