Introducing Vinny! He is a 2.5-year-old male who holds dual citizenship with both France and Italy (hence, his name). He is an enforcer in the Italian Mafia which is why he is in foster care. He was surrendered due to not getting along with the other male dogs in the house. However, he doesn’t like all female dogs either.
Vinny is very sociable and friendly with all humans but does not like living with other animals. He wants all the humans to himself! So far, he hasn’t liked any dogs during walks and goes bananas, barking and tugging on the leash. In an effort to improve his reactivity to other dogs, he will be starting private lessons with a dog trainer.
Vinny is potty trained and loves car rides. He is healthy and neutered but will be transitioning to a healthier diet as he needs to lose a few pounds. He is a big boy, weighing in at 38 lbs. He hasn’t been eating the best so far as his foster mom thinks he is nervous being in a new home, so she has been hand feeding him for now.
He has been doing pretty well when people leave him, only barking and howling for a few minutes before calming down and going to sleep. He is not crate trained and likes toys and bones just a little bit. He likes to go on walks but only short ones. He loves sleeping in bed with foster mom and cuddling with her and his human foster brother the most.
This sweet boy loves to army crawl and will definitely crawl his way right into your heart! Keep an eye out for updates on him!
