Mercedes in Florida- ADOPTED!

Greetings and Salutations my Subjects! My name is Mercedes, and I am looking for a new palace due to no fault of my own. My former family didn’t have enough time for me. I am a whole year old and weigh 27 pounds (not that a lady should ever tell her weight).

I am a queen. I demand attention from anyone who looks my way. If the highest level is a “Stage 5” clinger, then I am a stage 10. I am not a fan of not being around people and may whine and cry a little initially when you leave me. That being said, an apartment might not be ideal for me. We wouldn’t want to upset the neighbors if I complain about not being with you.

I like everyone but can be shy to warm up to men. No offense, gentlemen. I only play hard to get at first, but I have been known to run away from men until I get to know them.

As I mentioned before, I am a puppy and get very excited by everything. It’s all new to me! I am still learning manners. I will jump in excitement but am easily corrected. I will just need some reinforcement. Speaking of reinforcement, I will train you to pet me…all…the…time! I have been known to paw at my royal subjects when they stop. For this reason, kids ages 8+ would be best for me. I love to snuggle on your royal couch as much as I love to run in the yard.

I have fun playing with my foster doggie siblings. However, my foster humans are not sure if I get along with cats or other small animals.

I am currently mastering the potty-training skills needed to be the proper Queen I know I will be. This will just take some understanding and continued training from my new subjects when my reign starts.

I love a good walk, and I’m good on a leash! I also love a good stuffy and bone to chew on. I would love for you to be home with me often or better yet take me everywhere you go but if not, at least a midday potty break would be required. I am crate trained but would definitely prefer not to be in a crate.

So, are you willing to let me be your new Monarch? I just know that I will be the best Queen ever!
