Meet Clementine
At just 2 years old and 16 pounds, Clementine may be tiny in size, but her heart is absolutely enormous. This sweet little lady has quickly nestled into her foster home like she’s always belonged there—snuggling with the resident pups, soaking up affection, and learning the ropes of home life with impressive speed.
Clementine’s early life wasn’t easy, but you’d never know it from her gentle, trusting nature. She’s still working on gaining weight (her goal is a healthy 20 pounds before she can be spayed), and she has a few healing spots from old ulcers, but overall she’s in great health and thriving with good food, love, and care.
Housebreaking? She’s nailing it—thanks in part to her canine foster siblings showing her the ropes. She’s also a dream on leash and has never met a cuddle she didn’t love. In fact, Clementine might just be the snuggliest Frenchie we’ve ever met. She’s not a fan of being alone, so she’d do best in a home with another friendly pup or with people who are home most of the time and happy to have a little shadow tagging along.
While she’s crate trained, Clementine spent her first two years confined, so she’s understandably not a fan of being crated. Thankfully, she’s a perfect angel when left out—no chewing, no mischief, just cozy naps with her furry friends.
Clementine is blossoming more each day, even beginning to initiate play with the other Frenchies in her foster home. She’s a gentle soul who’s never shown an ounce of aggression, even when feeling unsure. She hasn’t met cats or other animals yet, but she’s been nothing but sweet with every dog she’s encountered.
Clementine isn’t quite ready for adoption just yet—she’s still working on reaching a healthy weight and continuing to build confidence in her foster home. But every day she’s blossoming into the joyful, affectionate companion she was always meant to be. For now, we’re focused on helping her heal, feel safe, and soak up all the love she deserves.
