Abbey in Florida— ADOPTED!!
Abbey has moved to her fur-ever home and is already very much a part of the family! She has two wonderful new parents and two new doggie siblings (a Frenchie brother and big dog sister) to share life with and to love. We couldn’t be happier for this family and wish them all the best!
Abbey is 18 months old and was surrendered to FBV by a breeder in FL. She came into rescue with stitches in her belly from having c-sections. Her stitches were overdue to be removed and had overgrown. She also has splayed feet from standing on a wire crate. She is healthy, clear of heartworms and other parasites, up to date on vaccinations, and spayed. She weighs about 20 lbs but is still gaining.
Abbey is a sweet and tender girl who wants to please but can be afraid of her own shadow. She loves to play but her favorite thing to do is cuddle in your arms like a baby. She would do best with a family who has someone who can be home with her often...she doesn’t have to be constantly next to you but likes to know she can see you. She does well with the other dogs and cats in her foster home and would like a home with a playmate to help her with learning the doggie life.
Although she is okay around kids, it would be best for her to be in a home with older, dog savvy children. The activity level of younger children may make her nervous and would not be best for her. Abbey is crate trained and house trained but is not so great on a leash. The leash scares her...she does better with a harness as she does not like things around her neck.
Abbey is young and is still learning all the great things about being a dog. She needs a home that will show her patience and nurture her...one that will help build her confidence as she is unsure of a lot of things and goes directly to thinking she is doing something wrong. She needs reassurance that she is doing great.
She is a serious lover and is always up for kisses and rubs. She has her tongue sticking out 90% of the time which is absolutely adorable! She is friendly and likes meeting new people. She will make a wonderful addition to a forever home. If you think your home is the one, please apply.
