Avalon in Alabama– ADOPTED!!

Avalon has been adopted by a wonderful forever family! She is fitting in perfectly in her new home and is already besties with her new Frenchie brother. Her family is so in love with her and is spoiling her immensely. We are absolutely thrilled for Avalon!

Avalon is a beautiful, 2-year-old who is looking for her forever home! She was surrendered to French Bulldog Village when her previous owners no longer had the time to give her the attention and care she needed. She came to FBV underweight and with intestinal worms, an ear infection, and severe dental problems. While in our care, her ear infection and intestinal worms were treated. She also had extensive dental work done and is now toothless on one side of her mouth.

Despite being toothless on one side, Avalon continues to eat kibble, but this could become more difficult as she becomes older. She will need to have her dental health monitored for the remainder of her life given her history. As of right now though, she is healthy and has no ongoing health issues. She does, however, sometimes like to eat her own feces.

Avalon is partially housebroken…she will sometimes poop inside if it is raining or really cold outside. This silly girl is not a fan of cold weather! If it is warm outside, you might find her outside sunbathing but when it’s cold, she prefers to be inside near the heater or fireplace for a while before settling into a warm lap.

She is crate and leash trained. She also knows the commands sit and fetch. While Avalon would prefer an adoptive home with a fenced yard, it is not required. She would, however, do best in a forever home with another dog who likes to play. She also requires a home where she will be allowed on the furniture because she is a huge snuggle bug with her person.

Avalon gets along with all humans and animals. She is very submissive and just wants to be friends with everybody she meets. She loves to pester and play with her foster brother a lot but only in spurts; she’s mostly a couch potato. She also loves all toys; she especially loves stuffed toys and balls. She learned how to fetch in her foster home within minutes.

Once meeting Avalon, you can’t help but fall in love. She is super clumsy and will come flying across the room only to miss her landing spot. Also, when she is about to get a treat, she does a little dance with her front paws while sitting because she just can’t contain all her excitement - she LIVES to eat! Avalon is truly the sweetest little girl. She is so eager to please her people and for this reason, is a fast learner of house rules.
