Meet Barbie Sue – Your New Best Friend in a 26-Pound Package of Love 

At just 3 years old, Barbie brings a perfect mix of affection, charm, and squirrel-chasing spunk to every day. This sweet girl was heartbreakingly surrendered to FBV when her family had to move overseas and couldn’t take her along. They tried everything but ultimately entrusted FBV to find her a loving forever home.

Barbie Sue is a gentle soul with a moderate energy level—she’ll happily romp around the yard for a bit, then curl up beside you for snuggles. She’s a follower at heart, not a leader, and her affectionate nature shines through in everything she does. Whether she’s snoozing with her doggy pals or greeting you with an enthusiastic (and still slightly jumpy) hello, Barbie Sue is all about love.

She’s great with other dogs and adores people—both men and women—but would do best in a home with children over 10 due to her excitement when greeting. She’s not a fan of cats or small critters, and she’ll let you know if a squirrel dares to cross her path!

Barbie Sue is learning the ropes of house life—she’s almost housebroken and doing wonderfully. She’s crate trained (though she’d rather be out and about), walks okay on a leash, and absolutely needs a fenced yard to explore safely. She’s also a champ at car rides and grooming, especially when it comes to keeping her adorable facial folds clean and dry.

She takes Apoquel daily for environmental allergies but has no food sensitivities. She’s not possessive of toys or food, and she’s wonderfully easygoing. Her favorite things? Chew bones, squeaky balls, and having someone nearby to love on her all day long.

And speaking of companionship—Barbie Sue would very much prefer a human who’s home very often. She thrives on attention, affection, and playtime, and would love nothing more than to be your shadow throughout the day.

Barbie Sue may bark at passersby from the window—she thinks everyone is a potential friend! Because of this, she may not be the best fit for apartment or condo living. But in a home with a yard, a loving human (or two), and maybe a doggy sibling to cuddle with, she’ll thrive.

This little lady has a heart as big as her personality. She’s caring, playful, and full of character. Barbie Sue is ready to bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love to the lucky family who opens their heart and home to her.
