Hi, I’m Barney! I’m 7 years old, weigh about 22 pounds, and I’m what you’d call a professional snuggler with a passion for fetch and stuffies (especially the squeaky kind—oh my gosh, those are the best!).

I came into foster care with my sister due to a housing change, and while it’s been a big adjustment, I’m settling in and showing my sweet, goofy self more and more each day. I’ve got a lot of love to give and plenty of “opinions” to share—I’m a talker, especially when I’m excited or snuggling!

A few things you should know about me:     

• I have a liver condition (copper-associated hepatopathy), but you’d never guess it just by looking at me. I feel great and take my meds like a champ (just hide them in my food—yum!).     
• I eat a special diet (Hill’s Science Diet liver support) and may need occasional vet check-ins to keep things on track, but I’m currently stable and doing well.    
• I’m fully housebroken and will let you know when I need to go out.     
• I do best when I’m not alone for long and would love a fur sibling—especially one who’s playful but laid-back.     
• I LOVE to fetch. Like, really love it. Be ready for some backyard marathons.     
• I’m working on sharing toys and bones—I’ve been through a lot, and I get a little worried about losing my stuff again.     
• I’d prefer a home with a yard and no shared walls (apartments aren’t really my vibe—I’ve got things to say!).

I’m sweet, loyal, a little quirky, and full of personality. If you’re looking for a forever friend who will be your shadow, your couch buddy, and your fetch partner for life—I just might be your guy.
