Have you been looking for love in all the wrong places? Hello! I am Barney. I am 7 and weigh 22 pounds. I am a social butterfly with lots of "opinions.”

Y'all, I need to find a home where I feel safe and secure. I recently found myself coming into foster care with my sister because of a moving situation where we couldn't come along.

I really am a sweet boy and only want to play and please you. If you could get me some stuffies, that would be great…especially the kind with squeakers. Holy Toledo, those are amazingggg! I want to play fetch. I will fetch until you make me stop. Sometimes I forget my sharing manners for toys and bones and will resource guard what I got. I think it's because I lost all my belongings and am afraid to lose these too. 

I don’t resource guard my food but prefer to eat alone. I will need to be on Hill’s Science Diet prescription food and liver meds. I take my medications like a champ. I'm not as excited about nail trims. I also get SUPER ANXIOUS if I am confined away from the other dogs and my humans aren't home. I will do best with a fur friend but one who is playful but easy going. I also will need to be introduced slowly to resident dogs. When I get anxious, I rub my eyes. My foster folks say it's pretty clear I’m pretty upset from my sudden shift in situation.

I want to be touching you at ALL times. I will talk to you when we are snuggling on the couch. I will bark at you when I'm running through the yard (which I would love to have in my new home). Speaking of being a talker, living in an apartment probably wouldn't be a good idea because I do have lots of "opinions" (will bark).

I am housebroken and will sit at the door when I need to be let out to potty. I would do best having midday potty breaks if you work outside of the home full time. I am good on a leash.
