Boris in Arizona– ADOPTED!!
Boris, now Louie, has gone to his forever home! He has wonderful new parents and 2 new dog siblings to love and get love by. This couple was chosen because of their devotion to their existing dogs and their acceptance of Louie just as he is. The new family looks thrilled to have each other, and we couldn’t be happier for them. Congratulations to Louie and his furever family!
Boris is a handsome 6-month-old, brindle cutie! He came from a breeder who got him back from the family who purchased him due to a broken elbow and neither being unable to afford the costly surgery to repair it. Boris sustained his injury by getting rolled by 2 large dogs in his previous home. The break was over a week old when he came into rescue, so the surgery was a bit more complex. He now has two screws and a pin that will stay for life provided there are no complications, and he will probably always have a bit of a limp due to the severity of the break. He also came to FBV with giardia but this has been treated successfully. He has been neutered while in our care as well.
He is an active young puppy. He is happy go lucky and loves attention from his people. He enjoys playing with the other puppies in his foster home and is very smart. His foster mom would describe him as middle of the pack. He has shown no temperament issues, including toy and food aggression, while in her care.
Boris is partially housebroken—he sometimes has accidents in his crate. He is crate trained but not leash trained. A fenced yard is preferred but not required. He does not know any basic commands yet so a training class may be good for this young fella.
Boris loves all toys! He loves to carry the stuffed ones around in his mouth and enjoys chewing on Nylabones. He also loves to army crawl around in the grass and rolls over and over….it is so cute!
He requires someone who is home all day or someone who works but can come home at lunch or have a pet sitter/dog walker come midday. He needs time in the day to burn off some of his puppy energy. He really wants a forever home with other dogs that like to play and for people who like to spend a lot of time with their pups.
Boris is a very special little dude! He is so loving and fun to be around. There is not a mean bone in his body. His only cares in life are love and attention, either from people or other dogs. He is such a happy guy…even through his extended crate rest, he always had a great attitude!
If Boris sounds like the perfect pup for you and your family, please apply!
