Meet Gus — 7 Months Old, 25 lbs, Deaf, and Overflowing With Love

Gus is a 7‑month‑old, 25‑pound bundle of affection who doesn’t know he’s any different from other dogs — he’s simply a happy, wiggly, deeply loving puppy who wants nothing more than to be close to his people. He was surrendered by a single mom with a young daughter who adored him, but caring for a deaf puppy while raising a child and working full‑time became overwhelming. Gus was very loved, and his family made the selfless decision to surrender him so he could find the perfect home for his needs.

Health & Temperament

Gus is deaf but otherwise completely healthy with no medical issues. He’s a clean slate for grooming, handling, and training — easygoing, cooperative, and eager to please. He doesn’t know he’s deaf; this is simply the world he’s always known.

He is extremely affectionate — truly one of the most loving dogs his foster mom has ever experienced. Gus doesn’t just want to sit near you; he wants to be on you. He melts his whole body across your lap, snuggles into your chest during TV time, and will happily nap outside the shower while waiting for his person. He loves everyone he meets.

Social Life: Dogs, Kids, and Other Animals

Dogs: Gus loves other dogs, especially playful, younger ones who will chase him or romp around the yard. He plays constantly with the resident 1‑year‑old English Bulldog. He eats with the two resident dogs with zero issues — they even lick each other’s bowls when finished.
Kids: He’s great with older, dog‑savvy children. He’s met neighbor kids and was thrilled to see them. Because he jumps when excited, older kids are a better fit.
Cats/Small Animals: Unknown. He does chase lizards outside, so caution is advised with small pets.

Ideal Home

Gus would thrive in:

A home with a younger dog who enjoys playing (not required, but ideal)
A family with experience with deaf dogs (also not required, but helpful)
A household where someone is around often or where he can reliably get a midday potty break
A home rather than an apartment, since he has a loud bark when playing or when he sees his reflection in large windows

He would absolutely love a home where he can sleep in bed with his humans.

House Manners & Training

Housebroken in his foster home; he uses a dog door reliably
Should do well with regular outdoor breaks if no dog door is available
Crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night

Understands a hand gesture for “come” and is very food‑motivated, so hand‑signal training should be easy

Coda in Massachusetts- ADOPTED!

Meet Coda — The Ball‑Obsessed, Paper‑Towel‑Fearing, One‑of‑a‑Kind Frenchie Looking for His Perfect Match

Coda is a one‑year‑old, 18‑pound boy with a face you won’t forget and a personality you’ll never want to live without. He came to rescue after his former family, who had many very young children and a chaotic home environment, could no longer care for him. That kind of setting wasn’t right for Coda — he struggled with the noise, unpredictability, and constant activity — but in a calm, adult home, he has blossomed into a playful, loyal, wonderfully odd little companion.

A Unique Face With a Clean Bill of Health

Coda was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, but both are purely cosmetic. He eats and drinks normally (kibble with warm water is his favorite), has no food aggression, and enjoys mealtime right next to the resident dog. A specialist evaluated his cleft lip, hard palate, and soft palate and determined he does not need surgery. A tiny hole in his hard palate was discovered during neuter, but even that was deemed cosmetic and not something requiring intervention.

He’s tolerant of facial fold cleaning, ear cleaning, and baths — though he will try to attack the water spray like it’s a sworn enemy. Nail trims are an unknown at home since his nails were last trimmed during his neuter.

A Home Without Kids — Non‑Negotiable

Coda is fantastic with adults and great with other dogs, but children are a no. In foster, he growled at a calm 7‑year‑old simply walking into the room. He is not comfortable with kids, and he deserves a home where he can feel safe and relaxed.

Dog Compatibility

Coda has done beautifully with the resident Frenchie. They play well together, though tug‑of‑war can get a little too enthusiastic and needs occasional breaks. He’s shown no reactivity to dogs on walks. He could happily live with another friendly dog or be the only pet — he’s flexible that way.

His behavior with cats and small animals is unknown.

A Playful Spirit With Endless Quirks

Coda is a walking collection of lovable oddities:

Balls are his entire personality. He carries one almost 24/7, sleeps with one, and spends about 15 hours a day rolling them under furniture and crying for you to retrieve them. You will retrieve them. He will immediately do it again. This is his favorite game in the world.
Soft toys don’t stand a chance. Two minutes, tops.
Paper towels are his mortal enemy. If you clean with them, he will bark and jump up on you like he’s bravely defending you from certain doom.
Feet in motion are suspicious. If someone kicks a soccer ball or makes a kicking motion, he’ll go after the feet and latch on.
Windshield wipers are absolutely unacceptable. He cannot ride in a car when it’s raining — he will scream, bark, and try to launch himself at the windshield to “attack” the wipers. It’s not aggression, just intense, misguided enthusiasm.

These quirks aren’t flaws — they’re the things that make Coda Coda. And honestly, they’re hilarious once you know him.

Energy, Affection, and Daily Life

Coda has a moderate energy level but plays like it’s his full‑time job. Walks aren’t his thing — he’ll simply lie down when he’s done and require carrying. He enjoyed stroller rides around the city, though. A yard where he can wander and play on his own terms would be ideal.

Affection‑wise, he’s not a snuggler. He prefers to be near you, not on you. He’ll follow you from room to room like a loyal little shadow, then curl up at the opposite end of the couch or in his own bed.

He rarely barks and would do well in an apartment or condo. He handles stairs fine and hasn’t been tested in an elevator.

Housebreaking & Routine

Coda is about 95% housebroken. He has never had a #2 accident in foster care. He has had a few pee accidents, usually when he’s gone too long between breaks. He drinks water like it’s his job, so reasonable water management and frequent potty breaks are key. With routine, he can absolutely reach 100%.

He does well with a crate as long as the door stays open. He likes to sleep in it on his own terms. If the door is closed, he panics — he cried and barked in foster, and the vet staff couldn’t keep him crated after his neuter. He is not a candidate for boarding in a crate.

He may struggle with being gated or restricted to certain areas during his first few days in a new home, just like he did in foster, but he adjusts with time and consistency.

Social Skills

Coda is wonderful with adults and strangers. He greets with excited jumps and face licks, and he’s been a star at the vet. He enjoys car rides — as long as it’s not raining.

The Ideal Home for Coda

Coda is adaptable, but his best‑fit home looks like this:

Adults only
Low chaos, predictable routine
Someone home most of the day (he’s used to frequent potty breaks and companionship)
A yard would be a big plus
A dog friend is optional
Endless supply of balls is mandatory

Coda is playful, loyal, and endlessly entertaining. His quirks aren’t challenges — they’re the things that make him unforgettable. Meet Ziggy: The Velcro Goofball With a Big Heart and Even Bigger Hops

At just a year old and 23 pounds, Ziggy is a sweet, goofy, high‑energy lovebug who is still very much a puppy learning how to dog — mixing his big heart with a dash of delightful mischief, spur‑of‑the‑moment puppy ideas, and a whole lot of charm.

Ziggy came to rescue after spending most of his young life crated — all day, overnight, and often alone. He arrived with an ear infection (so going forward will need his ears cleaned weekly) and welts around his neck from a prong and shock collar (used in his previous home), but somehow, he is still one of the happiest, most people‑loving dogs you’ll ever meet. The vet poked and prodded him during his first exam, and Ziggy thought it was a spa day. Now every time he goes back (for things that are decidedly not spa‑like), he struts in like a celebrity greeting his fans.

Personality: Sweet, Silly, and a Little Bit Chaotic

Ziggy is a confident, mischievous, Velcro shadow who wants to be wherever you are. He loves attention, loves being held, and loves giving kisses — unless there’s a toy, a Nylabone, or another dog nearby, in which case he will absolutely forget you exist for a moment before circling back for more affection.

He’s high energy but tires out quickly, which is adorable; he’ll play like his life depends on it, then suddenly realize he’s exhausted and needs a nap immediately. Sometimes he needs help remembering to take breaks, especially when playing with another dog.

He’s also a professional at squeezing himself into tiny spaces to nap, he runs hot (his first favorite bed was the marble coffee table), and he is very food‑motivated, which makes training both fun and effective.

Puppy Behaviors: The Honest Stuff

Ziggy is still learning household manners after being crated so much. He’s mouthy and nippy when excited (never breaks skin), and he can startle you with sudden jumps or play bites — including at your face if he’s really amped. It’s all playful, never aggressive, but because of this he needs a home with dog‑savvy kids 13+.

He jumps very high, jumps on people, and thinks everything is a toy — tassels, cords, sticks, your dignity. He’s learning what’s okay and what isn’t, but he’ll need continued guidance, patience, and consistency.

He also eats poop (foster home is working on this with a supplement), steals toys from other dogs’ mouths, and will try to steal their food too. Feeding separately is best.

Potty Training: A Work in Progress

Ziggy is partially housebroken. He goes out every two hours, usually pees right away, and knows “Go Potty” (as a suggestion, not a command). He’ll go days without an accident and then suddenly forget how bathrooms work. He doesn’t reliably signal when he needs to go, so his humans take him out often to be safe.

He needs someone home most of the time to help him continue building good habits.

Home Life & Crate/Playpen

Because of his past, Ziggy cannot be crated overnight — he had a full panic attack with wheezing and vomiting. But he does beautifully in a playpen, both overnight and when left alone. He settles quickly, doesn’t try to escape, and actually relaxes better in there than loose in the home.

He’s fine in a small travel crate for short trips (especially if bribed with a treat), and his fosters are working on building positive associations with the crate for daytime use.

Dog Friendships

Ziggy loves other dogs — including big ones. On walks he quietly watches them with zero reactivity. In the home, he runs straight up to them with the confidence of someone who has never once considered consequences.

His play style is jumping + play biting + chasing + more jumping. When he isn’t being supervised, he’s kept separate from the resident dogs so they can rest and enjoy some quiet time.

He’d do best with another young, high‑energy dog who enjoys rough‑and‑tumble play, but he’d also be fine as an only dog with plenty of human interaction.

Walks & Adventures

Ziggy loves walks, loves meeting people, and loves carrying sticks like trophies. He gets so excited when he sees the leash that he jumps straight into the air like a popcorn kernel. He pulls at the start of walks, pulls when he sees home, and pulls in the hallway to get to his apartment door — but after a few minutes he settles and pulls less. He will try to eat anything on the ground, including tree debris, so supervision is key — and he’ll benefit from continued leash training in his forever home.

He doesn't mind being in the car and has done well on all our quick rides, even sitting nicely to be picked up to be put in the car, but on a longer car ride he did get a little car sick.

Apartment Life

Ziggy currently lives in an apartment and is thriving. He’s great in the elevator, loves greeting neighbors, and knows exactly which building and door are his. He’s very quiet — he rarely barks, and when he does it’s usually a single “HEY!” from his playpen when he wants to play with the resident dog.

He doesn’t need a fenced yard, but if he has one he must be monitored so he doesn’t snack on landscaping.

Grooming & Vet Care

He’s been great for:

nail trims
bloodwork
shots
baths

Ear cleaning is fine as long as someone holds a treat. Nose balm is a “please stop dodging” situation, but manageable.

His vet thinks he’s wonderful (because he is).

Ideal Home

Ziggy needs:

someone home most of the time
patience and consistency with potty training
continued work on manners and impulse control
a playful dog friend OR lots of human engagement
a family who finds his quirks endearing, not frustrating

He’d love a person who takes him out and about, loves saying hello to new people, and appreciates a dog who is equal parts silly, sweet, and spicy.

At 3 years old and 25 lbs, Leo is a compact, snuggly, squeaky‑toy‑loving Frenchie who has decided his life mission is simple: be as close to his human as physically possible at all times. If you’ve ever wanted a shadow with a sense of humor, a dramatic flair, and a strong opinion about bath time, Leo is your guy.

A Little About His Body (Because It’s Part of His Story)

Leo has had quite the medical journey, and he’s handled it like a champ.
• He’s been neutered and had surgery on his stenotic nares.
• At one point, he had some spinal pain that improved with pain meds, and he now shows no signs of discomfort. He saw a neurologist who said his spine findings are typical malformations for a Frenchie and that he has degenerative disc disease.
• He takes Dasuquin daily for joint support.
• He’s missing toes on his back left paw — this makes cold weather, long walks, and overdoing playtime uncomfortable.
• A boot was suggested, but Leo says absolutely not.
• He may limp if he plays too long, so his human will need to help him pace himself.

He’s not a fan of people touching his paws (understandable), and nail trims and baths require teamwork and emotional‑support snacks.

Personality: A Sweetheart With a Sprinkle of Shenanigans

Leo is a Velcro dog through and through. He follows foster mom everywhere — and if he’s not right beside her, he’s probably:
• Standing on a table he shouldn’t be on
• Stealing something he shouldn’t have
• Or plotting how to open a door he absolutely should not open

He loves all people he meets and will happily hop into a stranger’s lap like he’s known them for years. He proudly struts around carrying his toys like trophies — including a rubber snake he treats like a prized possession.

He monitors the TV for suspicious animals and will alert the household if a dog appears on screen. He also checks on foster mom in the shower by gently nudging the door open, just to make sure she hasn’t drowned.

Dog Interactions: Slow and Steady Wins the Friendship

Leo wasn’t sure about other dogs at first.
• When he met foster mom’s dog, he was nervous and sometimes reacted aggressively when the other dog got in his space.
• He also growled and went after her daughter’s dog early on.
• He never bit, and with time, redirection, and very slow introductions, he now loves both dogs, cuddles with them, and wrestles like a pro.

Because of this history, Leo will need slow, patient introductions with any new dog friends. Once he feels safe, he bonds deeply and plays joyfully — but he needs that gradual warm‑up to set him up for success.

He gives an intense little stare‑down before playtime — a “Game on” look that is both hilarious and dramatic.

Energy Level & Play Style

Leo is low energy overall, but he LOVES:
• Playing ball (like a cat — nudging it with his nose and chasing it)

He has separation anxiety and does not like being crated when his human is home. He will cry, howl, and make sure the entire neighborhood knows he disagrees with the situation. When left alone, he eventually settles, but he cannot be left loose — he will chew things he shouldn’t.

√ Crate notes

He must be crated when unsupervised.
• The crate must be latched at the top and bottom or he will wiggle his entire body out like a furry Houdini.
• He hates being crated while you’re home but tolerates it better when you leave.

√ Potty training

It took almost 3 months, but he’s now reliably potty trained.
• He goes to the door to ask out.
• He knows the word “potty.”
• He expects a treat afterward — he has standards.

A new home may cause a temporary setback, but consistency will get him back on track quickly.

√ Daily care

Leo will need his tushy wiped after every poop to keep him clean and comfortable. He’s very tolerant of the routine once he knows what’s happening — and he appreciates the dignity of a quick cleanup.

He could do well in an apartment with:

• An elevator is fine

Joey in Pennsylvania- ADOPTED!

Y’all! I’m Joey. Nice to meet you. I’m 2.5 years young and tip the scales at 24 pounds — because I LOVE FOOD.

All food. Yours. Mine. Other pets’. If it looks edible, I’m interested. Because I eat fast and don’t want anyone stealing my snacks, I’m fed separately, and that works great for me. I listen really well when told to “leave it,” but I will absolutely try to eat anything I see if you don’t remind me.

I’m also a big fan of stuffed toys… mostly because I love tearing them apart. I can make it snow all year long! I adore yak chews, too. Yummy.

I’m currently living it up in Pennsylvania with my foster family. I love meeting new people and bark to say hello — honestly, I bark at just about anything because life is exciting. I’m improving, though, and usually settle after a minute. I’m definitely not an apartment or condo dog because of my enthusiasm for announcing… everything.

I like kids, but I’ve had some not‑so‑nice experiences with younger ones, so I’d prefer dog‑savvy kiddos 8+ and a home where toys aren’t left all over, because I will chew anything I think is mine. I can get very fixated on toys, and I’ve shown some resource guarding with them — I even snapped once. A trainer was consulted, and my foster mom is following their guidance, and I’m already improving. Because of this, I’d do best in a home that understands boundaries and management.

I’m crate trained, leash trained, and love car rides. I sleep in your bed (our bed), and I’m a champ for baths, wrinkle cleaning, and even butt cleaning — sometimes things get messy back there after I poop. I’m healthy with no ongoing issues, and I take a prebiotic and a joint supplement. I don’t eat chicken.

I’m good with cats and do well with other dogs who are calm or semi‑calm. Hyper or rambunctious dogs make it hard for me to settle. With people, I’m more of a one‑to‑two‑person dog — I’ll greet visitors politely, then come right back to my person. I’m Velcro about 80% of the time, but I also enjoy doing my own thing here and there. I love cuddles, pets, and being near my humans.

I’m housebroken. I go out 3–4 times a day. On walks, I’m great — I’ve only ever peed, never pooped on my walks though. I love the backyard and am curious about everything. A fenced yard would make me very happy.

I bark when people come in, but after that, I’m fine. I do sometimes jump on my foster mom, but she’s working on that, and I don’t really do it with strangers. I don’t really do stairs — I can when I’m super excited, but usually I wait to be carried.

I had palate and nare surgery that helped me breathe so much better — woohoo! That was awesome.

I’m looking for a patient, loving home — ideally with a fenced yard, maybe a calm dog sibling, and people who don’t mind my barking and quirks. I’m food‑driven, silly, affectionate, curious, and full of personality.

Milani—known lovingly as Millie, Millie Moon, and Milanor—has the kind of spirit that makes you pause and smile. She’s just a year old and a petite 22 pounds, but she carries a softness and resilience that feel much bigger than she is. Before she ever knew the comfort of a foster home, she spent seven long weeks in a shelter, struggling with diarrhea that no one could get under control. When she arrived in FBV’s care, she finally got the medical attention she needed. An internal medicine specialist performed an ultrasound and a colonoscopy with biopsies, and the results revealed the truth behind her struggles: Millie has IBD and a congenitally short colon—about half the length of a typical dog’s.

It sounds daunting on paper, but Millie herself is anything but. With the right care, she has blossomed. Today she is maintaining her weight, feeling good, and having formed stools, all while eating only her prescription hydrolyzed diet—Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein, Low Fat kibble—and no medications at all. She’ll need lifelong management, continued care with an internal medicine vet, and a family willing to adjust her meds or diet if needed in the future, but right now she is thriving.

Her foster home is a lively one, full of small children, dogs, and even tiny creatures like hamsters and fish. Millie fits into the mix with a gentle ease. She adores people, including the two‑year‑old little boy she follows around like a shadow. She lives with three Frenchie foster sisters, and her relationships with them are as nuanced and charming as any sibling dynamic. Basil, the youngest and most passive, is her best friend—they cuddle, play, and move through the day like a pair of synchronized swimmers. Bailey, the middle sister, is more confrontational, and the two have had a handful of small fights, usually over something like the couch or jealousy about height advantage. With four girl dogs in one home, tensions aren’t surprising, and Millie would likely thrive best in a home with one or two friendly, balanced dogs who can show her the ropes, play with her, and keep her company. She’s also spent time at her foster grandparents’ home with three cats and didn’t bother them at all. Hamsters and fish? She barely notices them.

Millie is a lover through and through. She follows her foster family everywhere—underfoot in the kitchen, curled beside them on the sofa, or sitting patiently on the bathroom rug while they shower. She is relaxed and laid back, but when playtime starts, she can get wonderfully wild, doing her signature “slide dive,” where she tucks her front legs under her and launches herself into her dog friends like a tiny, joyful torpedo. She loves toys, bones, and chews, and she watches her foster sisters closely to learn what to do with each new treasure.

She also loves spa days. Baths, grooming appointments, at‑home pampering—she’s tolerant, patient, and happy to be fussed over. In the car, she is an absolute angel, riding quietly and contentedly no matter where the journey leads.

Because of her strict prescription diet, Millie eats separately from the other dogs. She’s generally submissive and shares nicely, but she has stood her ground around food before. Potty training has been a journey, especially given her early chronic diarrhea, but she has made tremendous progress. She signals when she needs to go outside by standing at the back door or at the top of the stairs, and she already knew how to use pee pads when she arrived. Due to her IBD and short colon, she goes to the bathroom more frequently than most dogs, so she needs a family who is home often, uses daycare, has a dog walker, or provides pee pads when they’re away. She sometimes marks on dog beds, blankets, or small rugs, and may lick the spots afterward. She’s also very tolerant of clothing and often wears a baby onesie to help manage accidents when her foster mom is busy.

Millie walks beautifully on a leash with a harness and enjoys strolling with her foster sisters. She does tend to drag her front paws, likely due to poor breeding, which can lead to dirty or occasionally bloody toes. Shorter walks or grassy areas are best for her comfort. Stairs are another challenge—she’s timid with them, and while her foster mom has been diligently teaching her on carpeted steps, she still needs to be carried up and down at times. A home with limited or no stairs would be ideal unless her adopter is willing to carry her.

Her foster home has a fenced yard, which makes her frequent bathroom trips easier, and while a yard isn’t required, it is preferred. She’s excellent about going potty in all weather—hot, cold, rain, or snow—and will happily go on frequent leashed walks in grassy areas if that’s what her future family prefers.

Through everything—her medical challenges, her early struggles, her quirks and needs—Millie has remained one of the most loving, well‑behaved dogs you could ever hope to meet. She wasn’t born into the ideal circumstances, and medically she isn’t “perfect,” but her sweetness, her goofiness, her loyalty, and her gentle heart make her extraordinary. She deserves a family who will understand her bathroom needs, never punish her for things she cannot control, and love her for exactly who she is.

Because once Millie loves you, she loves you with her whole being—and that kind of love is worth everything.

Meet Gigi — The Dragon Lady of Love, Laughter, and Zoomies

Gigi is a 3‑year‑old, 20.6‑pound bundle of sweetness, silliness, and spirited personality. Healthy, spayed, and up to date on vaccines, she’s a soft‑furred, underbite‑rocking little character whose tongue hangs out more often than not — and trust us, it only adds to her charm.

She currently lives with other dogs and is wonderfully friendly when meeting new canine friends. But she does take her treasures seriously: food, toys, treats, and sometimes even her person are things she prefers not to share. She has a history of resource guarding with other dogs (never with humans), so she’s fed separately and thrives with structure, supervision, and a dog-savvy home. She’s learning to play and share, but if startled, she may snap at another dog. She also plays rough and can be a bit of a bully at times, so she’s best matched with confident, sturdy dogs or as a solo queen.

Gigi is a riot in the best way — rambunctious, mischievous, and full of puppy-like energy. She can jump impressively high, zoom around like a tiny dragon on a mission, and shred a toy in seconds with her very sharp teeth. Tough toys are a must. She’s also known for her hilarious “dragon snarl” when she’s excited or playing, which earned her the nickname Dragon Lady.

Despite her wild-woman moments, she’s incredibly loving. Gigi is a world-class snuggler, a kiss-giver, and a Velcro companion who wants to be near her people. She sleeps through the night in her own bed, enjoys couch snuggle time, and welcomes strangers with happy enthusiasm. She’s great with grooming, nails, and face wiping, and she doesn’t bark much — only when someone’s at the door or when she’s advocating for herself.

She walks fine on leash (though she may refuse if it’s cold), but she truly thrives with a fenced yard and knows that routine well. She’s partially housebroken and will stay consistent if taken out every 2–3 hours, but she doesn’t yet signal when she needs to go. She may jump when excited and occasionally have a little pee accident.

Gigi does experience some separation anxiety and can become destructive if left loose or alone too long. She does well in her crate but may protest briefly. She’ll do best with someone home often or able to take her along — she’s happiest when her people are close.

Mayzie in Florida- ADOPTED!

Well, would 'ya look at that?! I am Mayzie and I've found myself in a situation. I am 7 years old and weigh 21 pounds. I am currently chilling out in Florida.

See, I was surrendered when I was drinking too much water and started having accidents in the house.

Turns out, I have Cushing’s disease. I still drink a lot of water so it's important that my new family monitors this and understands that I need to potty pretty often, but I am housebroken!

I am on Vetoryl 5mg 2 times a day to help with my Cushing’s Disease. Keeping me on a salmon-based diet is a must. I’m not food aggressive at all, and I am okay sharing with others.

I bet you're also wondering about my eye. Well…I had an ulcer that ruptured. No biggie. I do fine without it. It's quite the conversation starter! Plus, it comes in handy for my pirate costume at Halloween.

I have a pin in one of my hips that causes me to have some hind end weakness. However, it doesn’t slow me down, and I can still run and jump (not on people though!) without issue.

Did I mention I love tennis balls? Holy smokes…those are fun! I like car rides too.

Look, I love to cuddle and am very laid back. I love to sleep in your bed. I said what I said! No side eye given.

I love dogs and cats, as well as children, men and women. I even like to have a grooming sesh done! I'd love a yard but also walk great on a leash.

If you work from home or could take me to work, that would be cool…cause remember the potty situation? Yeahhhh, I don't want to have any more accidents! Crates are cool but not for too much time if possible.

Eye'd (see what I did there?) love to meet you, and we become the apple of each other's eye. What a great way for us both to start a new year!!!

Peanut in Michigan- ADOPTED!

Peanut is a 7‑month‑old, 20‑pound purebred Frenchie who arrived as a breeder surrender and immediately decided that life in a foster home was her chance to make up for lost time. From day one, she blended into the household routine, meeting the resident dogs through slow introductions and quickly proving herself to be playful, social, and wonderfully easygoing around food, toys, and treats. She’s healthy, has recovered well from her spay and vulvoplasty, and eats a fish‑based diet simply because it works for her.

Peanut is a happy, mischievous puppy who loves to play with the bigger resident dog and joins the Frenchies when they’re in the mood. She’s athletic, fast, and endlessly curious—always exploring, always looking for something fun to do. Even in a dog‑proofed home, Peanut manages to find “opportunities,” whether that means climbing onto the dining room table or digging through the toy box until she finds exactly the right toy to parade around with.

Her energy is high, and she thrives with space to run and dogs to engage with. She’s not overly cuddly with other dogs, but she adores people and will curl up on a lap the moment she’s tired. You can always tell when she’s fading—she starts wandering the house aimlessly, her little body finally slowing down after a day of zooming, fetching, and trying to convince someone to play keep‑away.

Peanut is still very much a puppy, and her foster family has been helping her learn the basics. She knows “stay back,” “down,” and “come,” though she sometimes thinks “come” is an invitation to play chase. She’s partially housebroken, never soils her crate, and is improving with consistency and frequent potty breaks. She uses the dog door on her own and sleeps through the night without issue. She’s also crate‑trained and settles in easily when her foster family is away or can’t supervise her busy little self.

She’s tolerant of grooming, jumps up in excitement but is learning not to, and has a silly habit of eating poop that’s improving with canned pumpkin. She loves yak chews, soft toys, and anything she can fetch—even if she’d rather run victory laps than bring the toy back. Peanut is brave, bright, and athletic enough that she could excel in agility or other dog sports with the right person guiding her.

Her ideal home is one with a fenced yard, another playful dog, and active people who appreciate a spirited, clever Frenchie who needs both fun and structure. Older, dog‑savvy kids would be a great match for her energy and enthusiasm.

Peanut has discovered the comfort of being loved, the joy of play, and the security of a home where she can grow. She’s ready for a family who will laugh at her antics, guide her puppy impulses, and give her the active, affectionate life she deserves.

Clementine in Florida- ADOPTED!

This sweet Southern bell is currently located in Florida. Clementine is a sweet 2-year-old, twenty-pound Velcro love nugget.

No, seriously....all she wants is to be near you and if that is not possible, she will simply cozy up to her foster fur siblings. Cuddling is literally her favorite thing in the entire world, other than food!

When she was surrendered, she was malnourished, but she’s bouncing back beautifully!

She is mostly house trained and at two is obviously still a puppy and hasn't learned not to jump on people. The jumping is something that she will need to continue to work on.

She likes cats, but she is scared of them!

She will go in a crate but hates it.

She needs someone who is home all day or the majority of the day. Someone who could take her along to work would also be great.

She's never been around other small animals like birds so we're not sure how she will react to them.

She needs to be in a home where there are other dogs. However, she gets a little nervous with larger dogs or dogs who are super high energy.

Her current foster mama says that:

She does well on walks (in a harness) and in the car.
She would love going along on outings with her new family and does very well in public places.
She loves to meet new people!
She is a wanderer, so she'll need to have a fenced yard or be on a leash.
She loves stuffies, chin scratches and Benebones.
She doesn’t have any health concerns and tolerates all grooming activities.
When she first came to the rescue, she got caught eating her poo a couple of times so it's best to keep an eye on her when she goes potty.
