Meet Lou E — 23 pounds of personality, comedy, and cuddle‑powered joy

At 5 years old, Lou E has already lived a life big enough for a dog twice his size. He came into rescue after the children in his previous home developed allergies, and while he does have mild seasonal allergies himself, they’re easily managed with Cytopoint injections during peak allergy season. What wasn’t so simple was the emergency surgery he needed after eating… children’s swim goggles and a refillable water balloon. Yes, Lou E is that dog — curious, goofy, and absolutely convinced everything is a snack until proven otherwise.

Because of his “no manners, no shame” approach to food, Lou E should be fed separately. He’s not aggressive at all — he’ll just dive headfirst into another dog’s bowl mid‑bite like it’s a perfectly normal life choice. He’s a happy little opportunist.

Lou E is a moderate‑energy, highly affectionate boy who loves being with his humans more than anything. He’s a world‑class snuggler, a belly‑rub enthusiast, and he’ll gently nibble your fingers just to show you how much he loves you. He’ll curl right into you and stay there, soaking up every ounce of attention.

He’s also a big talker — especially when the vacuum comes out. And yes… he has huge, loud farts all day. It’s part of his charm.

Love? Endless. Manners? A work in progress — but the heart makes up for every goofy misstep.

Lou E is a joyful little chaos nugget. He will:

• Jump up to greet people
• Snatch food right out of your hands
• Bark with excitement
• Check out female dogs “just to see if he has a shot”

Because of this, he needs a home with kids 10+ who won’t be startled by his enthusiasm or his grabby little food‑gremlin tendencies.

With Other Animals

• Dogs: Great! Small, large, doesn’t matter — he meets dogs beautifully and enjoys their company.
• Cats: Unknown.
• Birds & small animals: Absolutely not. His foster home has chickens, and Lou E went wild when he saw them. He cannot live with birds or small critters.

Grooming & Care

• Baths and ear cleaning? Pretty good.
• Nails? Hard no. He will bite. He requires a muzzle for nail trims.
• Potty trained? Yes!
• Crate? He’ll tolerate it, but he’d rather not.
• Leash? Pretty good!

Home Life

Lou E doesn’t need someone home full‑time — he just needs someone who wants to be with him. Apartment, house, doesn’t matter. If he’s with his people, he’s happy. He’d enjoy a fenced yard where he can wander around at his own pace, but it’s not required.

He LOVES balls — balls, balls, balls. If it’s round, he’s thrilled.

He is silly, affectionate, talkative, snuggly, happy, and absolutely devoted to his humans. He’s a dog who deserves a wonderful home — one that laughs at his antics, appreciates his quirks, and loves him for the joyful little character he is.
