Hey everyone! It’s me, Dax. I have some exciting news to share with all of you. I am ready to find my fur-ever home!

I am a 9-month-old pup weighing 27 lbs. I was given to FBV by my previous family when they no longer could take care of me. I am healthy, happy and playful, though very chill for a puppy. I love baths. I also am very affectionate. I absolutely love attention and cuddles and will follow my person all around the house.

I have shown no resource guarding around food. However, I am fed separately from the resident dogs because one of them can be a bit testy around food. I get along well with the resident dogs and love socializing with other dogs while out on walks. I am quite gentle and well behaved with other dogs, though sometimes, I need a reminder that there are some that need their space. I currently live with female dogs but have met some male dogs through fences and had no issues with them. I would really love it if my new home had at least one other dog with whom I could play.

As far as cats go, I have been in a house with cats and showed some interest in them but no chasing. However, if a cat runs across my path while out on a walk, game on…I am going to chase it. I am pretty chill with new people. I truly believe that all people were put on earth to pet me so as long as I am being acknowledged, I am cool just hanging out while people do their talking. I haven’t spent long periods of time with children, but I have been gentle with the ones I have met so far. I can, however, get rambunctious if the energy in the room rises and will occasionally jump up on people but don’t land with a lot of force.

I am good on a leash and love my daily walks. I currently walk 3-4 times a day since my foster home does not have a fenced yard. While not required, I would really love my new home to have a fenced yard where I could run around, watch the birds and sample the salad bar outside. You see…I love eating the tops off fluffy dandelions and snacking on other plants while out and about.

I am a smart cookie…I know how to sit, stay, fetch and come to command. I can also be pretty goofy. I love bones and squeaky toys.

I am good on car rides. I am also crate-trained but prefer my crate to be where I can see people. I will complain if it is not. When I whine, my foster mom says I sound like a bird chirping. I don’t see the problem…I’ve heard birds sing very pretty songs.

I am housebroken but still need to be on a pretty regular schedule since I am still a puppy. I will subtly ask to go outside but it can sometimes be mistaken for asking for attention. If you work outside the home, I would be okay being left for short periods of time in my crate and will definitely require a midday potty break.

I’m a champion snuggler and would love for my new family to allow me to sleep in their bed. I would really thrive with getting lots of attention in my new home. I am going to tell you…I truly am the whole package. I am handsome and sweet. All I want to do is bond with my new family and give them tons of love!
