Frida in Hawaii– ADOPTED!!
We are happy to announce that Frida has finally found her forever home with her foster parents!
Frida has been with FBV since April of 2021. She was diagnosed with a form of Irritable Bowel Disease. Her condition will be chronic for the remainder of her life and will need to be monitored and treated accordingly. Her new family has veterinary experience and will be able to continue to provide the care that she will need.
Frida will have a family full of humans and fur siblings to love her. We couldn’t be more thrilled for her and her forever family!
Introducing Frida! She is a one-year-old female Frenchie suffering from IBD. Her owners tried everything and just couldn't afford further diagnostics. They surrendered her to FBV for us to get her the help she needs.
She is being fostered in Hawaii which is a new adventure for us as she is our first foster dog in Hawaii. Both her foster mom and foster dad work with animals, so we know she is in good hands.
So far things are going well in her foster home. She is a total sweetheart and is getting along with the other pets in the house. She is currently grossly underweight and right after she eats anything, bloody diarrhea drips out of her. She will posture to go but all that comes out is blood. Her foster home has her wearing diapers until her symptoms improve.
