Jigs in Florida
Jigs is not yet ready for adoption. We are still evaluating his personality and behaviors. An email notification will be sent when he becomes ready for adoption. Please welcome Jigs to FBV!! This sweet boy is 4 years old and weighs a whopping 44 lbs. He came to us from a shelter after being surrendered there by his owner.
He is healthy and already neutered. He is housebroken and only once upon initially moving into his foster care, marked in the house. He is good on car rides and happily sleeps on a dog bed at night in foster mom and dad’s bedroom.
He gets along with the resident dog but doesn’t play with him or with toys yet. He has shown interest in a Kong filled with peanut butter but has had no interest in bones. As far as cats go, we are not sure how he would do as there are no cats in his foster home, but he does bark at the ones outside.
He will readily go in his crate if you say, “Go in your house.” However, he does not like to be left in the crate. He will bark like crazy and find a way to get out of it. He will need to free roam in the house or be confined in a larger area.
He doesn’t love his ears to be cleaned and will sometimes let out a low growl when he is not happy about something. He has been eating well, though, and already knows the routine of his foster home. He also sits for his food when it’s mealtime and does well on a leash.
Jigs is a total love bug who just wants to cuddle and be with his people. He likes to nibble on your hands and gives lots of kisses. He is truly a sweetheart that will make someone very happy when he is ready to be adopted!
