Little Louie in Maryland- ADOPTED!
Hello fans! It’s me, Louie. I am a handsome 24 pound, 6-year-old love muffin!
As history goes, not much is really known about mine. Think of me as a clean slate for which we can write love notes to each other.
One of the first things my foster peeps learned about me is I seem to have seasonal allergies. Hey, I know I can’t be the only one, right? When I get a wee bit itchy, I am given a generic Zyrtec which works like magic.
I had knee surgery on my left knee in January of 2024. I have a little shaking and might need to have my right knee done at some point in the future. As a result, I am on Cosequin for the rest of my life.
I am a good eater. I don’t mind eating around my foster siblings either. Speaking of good things being served up in the kitchen, I like to get baths in the kitchen sink! It’s like my personal spa. A good bath, a nice face cleaning and a pedicure? Absolutely! Sign me up!
I REALLLLY like to greet people and might not realize that little humans might not like it if I jump and could knock them over. I don’t mean to. I need to be reminded of my manners, but I just love to be around people, and I forget.
I DO NOT LIKE MALE DOGS. I like the ladies (wink wink) but the other dudes, not so much.
Like any other dog, I get the zoomies with my toys (which are new to me, and I tend to guard them) and 10 minutes later, I’m on the couch in your lap sleeping. That being said, it would be best if I had a fenced in yard (or an elevator). If I cannot be outside and you put me in my crate, I will complain for a minute but quickly settle down. I really don’t mind my crate. I’m house trained. I am leash trained.
I am a great doorbell. I’ll bark when I hear a stranger danger situation. I am a “talker.” Hey, it’s my job to protect my people. This is great since my foster mom says it would be great if you were home with me a big portion of the day. Foster mom says I’m a house hippo with a sweet soul!
