Lola in Arizona
Lola is now a hospice angel.
Lola is approximately a 5‑year‑old, 20‑pound French Bulldog whose name suits her perfectly. From the moment she arrived, her gentle spirit and love for people and dogs alike have shone through. She has clearly been a devoted mama in her past, having had several litters, and now she deserves nothing but comfort and care.
Despite coming to rescue with some hair thinning and being a little underweight likely due to having just been pregnant, Lola’s temperament is absolutely rock solid. She adores snuggles, curling up with her foster mom or canine friends, and soaking up every ounce of affection offered. She’s a sweet soul who thrives on companionship and has quickly stolen the hearts of everyone who meets her.
Lola is less tolerant of heat than other Frenchies, so she must be monitored closely. Recently, further diagnostics revealed heartbreaking news: Lola has advanced hemangiosarcoma affecting multiple organs. Because of the extent of her illness, surgery is not an option.
With this diagnosis, Lola is now considered a hospice foster. She will remain surrounded by love, comfort, and dignity in her foster home. Her foster mom is committed to walking with her through this final chapter, ensuring that Lola’s days are filled with peace, snuggles, and joy. When the time comes, Lola will be gently helped to cross the rainbow bridge at home, free from suffering, and held in love.
Though her time may be shorter than we hoped, Lola’s story is one of resilience, sweetness, and the power of unconditional care. She reminds us that every dog deserves to be cherished, no matter how long or short their journey may be.
