Meet Mabel — the tiny, tenderhearted shadow who believes her rightful place in the universe is inside your ribcage, curled up directly against your soul.
At just 3 years old and 16 pounds, Mabel is living proof that the sweetest things really do come in small packages. She is pure honey, pure sunshine, pure snuggle… honestly, she might be 80% love and 20% dog. If she could fuse herself to her humans like a little Velcro marshmallow, she absolutely would.
A Heart Full of Sweetness
Mabel is the kind of girl who wants to be near her people at all times — not in a clingy way, but in a “you’re my safe place and I adore you” way. She’ll happily curl up in your lap, but she’s also content to snooze a few feet away as long as she can keep you in her line of sight. She loves all humans, warms up to dogs with a little time, and carries a gentle, timid sweetness that makes everyone melt.
She’s a dream in the car, riding like a perfect little lady in her car seat bed. She crates well, handles short alone time, and walks beautifully on leash — with bonus points for dramatic grass‑rolling sessions that she seems to believe are performance art.
Her Medical Journey
Mabel has had long‑term diarrhea for about two years, and she’ll need to see an internal medicine specialist to help get to the bottom of it. She also arrived with giardia and isospora, and she’s currently receiving treatment to clear those parasites.
She is potty trained, but with her tummy issues, when she’s gotta go… she’s gotta go. She uses puppy pads reliably and is doing her best while her foster family helps her heal.

There’s something about this girl — a softness, a sweetness, a quiet devotion — that makes you feel lucky just to be near her. She’s gentle, affectionate, people‑loving, and impossibly endearing. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t just join your home… she joins your heart.
