It’s me…Maggie, and I am ready to find my forever home! I am 4 years old and weigh a whopping 31 pounds. I am a healthy girl who came to the rescue as a breeder release.

I am very attached to my person and love meeting new people but can throw unsteady people off balance. I just get very excited! I loved the kids that I have met but had to be held back so that I did not knock them over. For this reason, I would do best in a home with older (ages 10+), dog savvy children.

It is not known how I would do with cats or little creatures, like birds and hamsters. However, I like other dogs. I currently live with other small dogs but have met some larger dogs while out on walks and at the gate and have been fine too.

I am low energy and definitely more of a couch potato but love my walks…I will walk along not even stopping to sniff…I am a girl on a mission. I will run after a ball…but when it stops, I stop. I like stuffies and chew toys. I also would like to play some with the resident dogs. Though, they aren’t into playing :(. I have shown no resource guarding with humans or other pups; however, in my foster home all dogs are fed separately.

I tolerate grooming well. I am only partially housebroken, still not asking to be let out to go. I do well in my crate once inside…I need a little coaxing (with some chicken) to go in though. A fenced yard is not a must but is preferred. I also would prefer a midday potty break if my new parents work outside the home.

I am definitely looking for a human, cuddle buddy in my forever home. A playmate is a must, too (either human or dog). I am not proud of this fact, but I have been caught eating my poo before. I am easily redirected though. To make up for the occasional poo eating, I will give you lots of love and affection. I love to run my head under my person’s arm and lean back to get my head kissed. I will give you some kisses, too! I am already trained to use steps to go on and off the sofa, which is a bonus as well!
