Meet Nugget!

Nugget is a happy, high-energy 22 lb, 2-year-old who lives life by the motto "play hard, sleep hard.”

She came into rescue when her owner, who had taken her in from her previous owners to avoid her going to a shelter, found out her job was going to start requiring extensive travel. Nugget was lovingly surrendered to FBV for us to find her a new home where someone will be home with her more often.

This fun-loving girl is a strong chewer who loves her bones and thrives on activity. Nugget has lots of energy and a classic Velcro personality. She wants to be wherever her people are. She is doing great with house manners and hasn’t had accidents when kept on a regular potty schedule. She crates beautifully but would happily tag along on your daily adventures, especially since she rides very well in the car.

Nugget enjoys walks and just about anything active. She can be a little nervous at the vet and when meeting new people. When she gets overstimulated, she may go after feet, but she settles nicely with calm snuggles and reassurance. She’ll do best with an owner who can provide gentle structure and clear boundaries in a relatively calm home.

We don’t yet know how Nugget does with cats or children. Because she plays enthusiastically, a larger or tolerant canine playmate would likely be the best match. She may be a bit much for a smaller or low-energy dog. Her current foster siblings are older and more laid-back, but they coexist well and even enjoy couch snuggles together once playtime winds down.

Nugget is not yet ready for adoption as she will need to be spayed first, but when she is, we are sure she is going to make her forever family very happy!
