Olive in Connecticut– ADOPTED!!

Olive is now home! She has a loving new mom and is an only dog so she will be extra spoiled. She is already very loved by her mom and is going on many adventures with her. We are so happy for this new family and cannot wait to hear about all their new adventures together.

Olive is a high energy, happy, confident 1-year-old. Typical of the breed, she’s a girl who knows her own mind. Olive is outgoing and affectionate with all people. While Olive gets along with all dogs, she can be a little bossy with other dogs around resources, typically inside the home. Therefore, she needs help understanding that manners are required. That said, she plays well with other dogs in the yard and at dog parks where there is plenty of space.

Due to her exuberant personality, Olive will need a home with adopters who understand the personality and need for boundaries that come with Bully breeds. Potty training is a work in progress, but she is doing well. She goes out first thing in the morning. However, she needs to be taken out regularly as she does not always tell her person when she needs to go outside. She does sleep through the night, though, with no accidents.

She knows the commands “sit” and “stay.” She is also well behaved in the house...she does not get into things and does not chew on things she shouldn’t. She will need a home with no cats, birds and other small animals. Also, a home with young children will not be considered...only homes with no children or children 13 years and older who are dog savvy.

Olive has shown no interest in toys but does like playing tug of war with her leash indoors. She loves going for walks and is good on a leash. She does not use a crate but instead is gated off to an area of the house when her foster family is not home. At night, she sleeps in a dog bed.

She is such a love bug and will nap on her person’s lap or in front of the fire, which she loves. She is super sweet and everyone she meets falls in love with her. If she sounds like a match for your family, please apply.
