Sweet Phoebe has found her forever. She was adopted by a lovely couple who immediately fell in love with her. It couldn’t be a better match! Her foster mom is missing her but knows she is right where she belongs. Congrats, Phoebe, on finding your way home!
Our little Ms. Phoebe is looking for her fur-ever home! Phoebe came to FBV when her family had to move, and they could no longer handle her medical issues. This 10-year-old girl has taken the move into foster care in stride. She went from the only home she had ever known to a home with many animals and new people. She has overcome all this and transformed into a beautiful dog who will make someone an amazing companion.
Phoebe can coexist with other dogs, but she is incredibly protective of both her people and her possessions, including her crate. She will guard her crate, toys and human from other dogs. We assume she will also resource guard her food, so she is fed separately from her foster siblings. She has started multiple fights with the other dogs in her foster home. She would likely be fine with non-reactive, submissive dogs in a home where an experienced owner understands that she does resource guard. However, she would really do best as an only dog where she gets all the lovin’ to herself.
She would also do best with older children and will not be placed in a home with cats as she loves to chase them. Phoebe will require a fenced in backyard and daily eye drops for her dry eye. She is crate trained, leash trained and housebroken. She also knows the commands sit, stay and come.
Phoebe is totally hilarious! She loves to go for a good walk, romp around the yard, and then chill with her people. She is medium energy but dominant with other animals. However, she listens to her people very well. She loves to sit and wait for her treats, which is her favorite time of day. She also loves all bones, soft toys, and squeaky toys. She can’t get enough of new toys!
The perfect home for Phoebe would be a home where she gets all the attention! She is such a loving, sweet dog who loves all people. She just wants to be with her humans, so a family who can include her in their day-to-day activities would be best. A semi-active family who will take her hiking, camping and to the park is what Phoebe desires. She is very well behaved and will prove to her new people that she deserves to be involved in everything they do! And her foster mom insists that her adoptive family send lots of photos and updates! 😉
