Reba is a 12-year-old sweet little lady. She found herself in our loving hands when a new job meant she needed to find a new home.
A little bit about Miss Reba. She likes to eat! Even though she's only 17lbs, she enjoys eating. She had a dental where they pulled 9 teef but despite that, she loves food and treats (she currently eats Fresh Pet Grain Free Chicken with Cranberries and Spinach)! She isn't the best at taking food from people’s hands. She doesn't have many teeth left and will "nip" at the food. When she had her dental, she also had a mast cell tumor removed. Great news is…the margins were clear! Yeah!!!
Miss Reba likes a good nail trim and face wash as well. She seems to tolerate anything that is related to self-care and a beauty routine.
Miss Reba snores.
She likes all hoomans - big ones as well as wee little ones. She's pretty calm unless someone talks in a high pitched/excited voice. She gets a little excited and tries to jump up on people’s legs so a bit of caution when kiddos are around should be taken.
She also gets along well with all other dogs, of all ages. We are not sure about cats or other critters.
Miss Reba is an attention seeker and not shy when demanding pets! And that leads to the belly rubs. We think this is actually her ultimate goal. She was a little shy at first but now she's full on "all belly rubs, all the time". Not a big fan of toys. Is a BIG fan of pets and belly rubs.
Miss Reba currently works from home (office manages foster mom while she works from home), so she's used to "mangling" (napping), lunch, potty break and then back to the grindstone. After work she likes to relax in the back yard until dinner. SHE DOESN'T DO STAIRS and needs to be carried. An apartment or condo would also work well for her.
If she's left for more than a few hours in her crate, she will pee (we think this may go back to her breeding days). When she goes potty outside, she likes to take her time. Having something absorbent in her crate will help. She doesn't mind wearing diapers if needed.
She's been known to bark a little when left alone - she just wants to be with people. Speaking of being with her hoomans, she loves going on car rides with them as well. She is hesitant on a leash. When she came to us, she didn't even have a collar, so we suspect this is all new to her.
Miss Reba needs a loving home for her golden years. Someone home most of the day would be ideal. She's 12 and never had a forever home. Sure she has some flaws, but she's 12 and deserves to have all the love in the world and a home to call her own.
