Y’all! Can you believe that I’m available? No, you haven’t lost your marbles!! I’m really available!! I suppose I skipped a step and didn’t properly introduce myself.

I’m Sunni. Nice to meet you! Since we are in the “gettin’ to know each other stage, let me tell you a little bit about me. As you can see, I’m a bit Southern so hang tight and hold onto your britches. You’re not gonna believe the story I’m fixin’ to tell you!

The evening I came into the rescue, somethin’ just awful had happened. Somethin’ real ugly. I was tossed out of a truck like I was a varmint! Can you believe it? Well, lucky for me a Good Samaritan saw what happened and scooped me up (She was madder than a wet hen when she saw it happen!). She took me over yonder to a vet and contacted a friend of the rescue for help. And help me they did!

I was a hot mess. I was skinny. Boy howdy was I skinny. I was suffering from a prolapsed cervix. But now, I’m all patched up and have been spayed! I’m just fine and dandy if you will. Now, I can proudly say I’m up to about 16.5 pounds and the vet thinks between 3 and 4 years old.

My Foster Momma wanted me to tell you some things so I reckon I will. I like to walk on a leash. She says I’m gonna grow up and be a politician because I have never met a stranger and I’ve been known to kiss a few babies when I’m out on my walks. As you can tell, I am not shy.

I like car rides. I like every single human I’ve ever met - big ones, little ones, girl ones, boy ones…you name it!  I will play with my fur foster brother until the cows come home! When I get to runnin’, Foster Momma says I look like a rabbit with its ears slicked back. I like big and little dogs. Foster Momma isn’t sure about cats because the only ones I’ve met were on walks and she called them “strays,” so I thought better than to mess with those!

Once in a blue moon I tinkle when someone says “Hi.” I’m just so darn excited to meet folks that I forget that I have to go outside to the potty first. Foster Momma said that it was her fault. We’re both working on our indoor manners, I guess. Foster Momma has a doggy door, so I’ve been real good at following my foster brothers outside to go potty. My foster Momma says that until I mind my “Pees” and Q’s” in this department it’s best I’m on a schedule. I suppose having a human around during the day would be great. I like my crate and never complain but do prefer to be raisin’ cane with people and pups. I do need a fence - as I mentioned before I’m very social so I might just keep meeting folks. Foster Momma says we don’t need any more of that!

Oh, I like to eat. I like all sorts of vittles. If you’re eating something I think I need, I will grumble about it. Foster Momma adds pumpkin and yogurt to my food. She says it helps me with those “Pees” and Q’s.” Sometimes I’ll be full as a tick and lay on the couch with foster Momma. We watch “The Stories” together. I always know when it’s “Story Time” because she carries me up the stairs. I’m a bit of a petite gal and my little legs are short. Stairs aren’t worth my effort.

Heavens to Betsy, the past doesn’t mean a hill of beans. I’m happy as the day is long! What I’m looking forward to now is what’s on my horizon.
