Tater Memorial

We received the sad news that alum Tater crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Tater had at least 2 strokes (that her forever home knew about) and likely a tumor or lesion in her brain which caused her to become incredibly confused and lost. Per her forever home, “She didn’t remember us, our other dog or her favorite people. She stopped sleeping and would scream all night. Nothing helped, not meds, not holding her, rocking her, nothing. She stopped doing what she loved, sleeping. She also stopped playing. She was miserable. She was not the happy nippy Tater we knew. The night before we had a photo shoot done of her; all of her favorite people came by, she got Chick-fil-A, ice cream and so many cookies. She was held, kissed, and adored as always. She passed away a little after 10am at our vet’s office wrapped up in her favorite blanket with my husband and I holding her. She was given the sedation shot and literally ate herself to sleep. We brought her snacks and fed her until she fell asleep. Thank you for allowing us the absolute honor to adopt Tater. We are completely heartbroken as she quickly became our whole world. Our other dog is searching high and low and mainly in her burrowing spots to find her. Please know that we did everything that we could for her.”

Run free now Tater. You were one lucky girl here on Earth to have such an amazing forever home who loved you to the moon and back. Tater you may be gone but will never be forgotten.
